I was in pain for almost a year before I finally decided that the only way I was going to get my life back was having surgery. I was unable to walk any distance because of severe right leg pain and numbness at times. Dr. Tempel and his staff including Maddie, Kara and Marla were all wonderful and very helpful. I also have to mention Dr. Kuhn who was part of this surgery. Today I had my 2 month check after having a 3 level fusion with rods. I have already graduated from physical therapy and am able to walk 3 miles without pain. My only regret is I didn't do this sooner. Thank you so much Dr. Tempel !!!!

When the other doctors just kept saying nothings wrong or you’ll never walk again Dr Temple just looked at me and said you’ll be OK I can fix that. By the time I left his Office the first time I saw him he had a plan. So far I have followed his plan. It’s been everything he says it was sometimes, better faster than we thought it might. But I am ever so thankful I found him and my life would never be the same without him. I walk already, and we still have a bit to go to make my life whole again.

Dr. Tempel’s diagnosis and recommendation to have spinal fusion surgery was scary. His patience, kindness and understanding of my pain, numbness and tingling made me feel better. His Team at Mayfield Brain and Spine welcomed me with their caring hearts and reassurances of ‘my success’ as I prepared for the surgery with physical therapy and home preparations. Mayfield’s Surgery Center and Team of Doctors, Anesthetists, RN’s and Admin’s is the finest in Cincinnati, OH. I’ve never felt more safe, supported and cared for with anyone group. My spine and neck muscles are healing and I feel stronger already. My symptoms prior to surgery are all but a distinct memory as I begin to resume gym workouts and living my life pain free. I know I have a few months before I’m completely healed, but I’m really excited to be having fun again! I will recommend Mayfield Brain and Spine to all my family and friends. Thank you Dr. Tempel and your amazing Team! I’m forever grateful for everything.

Three people recommended Dr. Tempel to me for my second opinion after a surgeon at my orthopedist recommended surgery on my back. Dr. Temple chose to treat it conservatively. My back healed without surgery. Great to have a surgeon that honestly looks at your injury and recommends no surgery.

I have had several spine surgeries since 18 I was in a body cast for 9 months. I’ve had different doctors. Doctor temple did a surgery in 2019 my Harrington rod moved forward. In 2021 I fractured spine. He did that surgery. He is the most amazing doctor I’ve ever met. I will never go to anyone else. He is my life line. I would tell everyone to go to him. When I say he’s amazing I’m not exaggerating. He is that good. I’ve been through 6 spine surgeries. By different doctors. I wish I knew him before. I can never imagine going to anyone else. He is that brilliant. I’m so thankful God put him in my life.I will go to him for the rest of my life. If people had scoliosis surgery at a young age and have problems you need to see him. If you have any spine problems you would be blessed using him. I will never go anywhere else❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Dr Tempel There were seven other doctors told me could not happen for me. They said it was impossible. Now I’m walking again. He is amazing

Had a 2 level discectomy and fusion with Dr. Tempel. Very professional and extremely competent surgeon. Had total resolution of symptoms and no complications afterwards. Absolutely would recommend!

Dr.Tempel is so knowledgeable and is a great listener, too. He really cared about helping me minimize cervical pain and avoid surgery so far. If symptoms get worse, and surgery is needed, I would put all my trust in his skills. All the office staff and X-ray techs have been so impressive, too, at Mayfield Clinic.

Dr. Tempel helped me to get my life back. I am now able to walk without the severe pain that I had prior to surgery. Kara Rhoads (PA), Maddie Drabek and the entire staff made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process.

I don't want to be too dramatic, but Dr. Tempel gave me my life back. Prior to surgery, any quality of life was missing. I can now look forward to being able to walk without the severe pain I had in my back. Also, Kara, Maddie and the whole team were extremely helpful to making my back surgery go smoothly so that I could concentrate on getting better.
