List of Big Creek Surgery Center's Reviews
This surgery center was so awesome, they took such great care of my daughter who got tubes in her ears. The nurses were all so kind and patient with her and made us all feel very comfortable. The process was explained to us throughly, and was so fast. Definitely recommend if you have a little one that needs tubes!
I had to bring my son here for dental work. It was his first time being under anesthesia and he and I were both nervous about it. Everyone on the staff from the front desk until we walked out with the recover nurse was kind, helpful and friendly. They helped to make what started out as a scary experience into a pleasant one. They were all very kind and patient with my son, who was crying pretty much the whole time until he went to sleep. After care was well explained by the nurse. Facility was very clean. The waiting room was spacious and comfortable. Thank you for a good experience!
If i could give a negative star review to this facility i would, since this is the most horrible and traumatic experience my family and i have ever experienced in a medical facility. I had a surgery on 9/18 in the morning and right off the star the receptionist was very rude to my husband and I, she had a nasty attitude and treated us like we didn't just pay a sufficient amount of money to have the procedure done. Then the nurse didn't let my husband to go in with me because of COVID, which no one ever told me about prior to the procedure and i think this is an extremely important information to know since i was was never under general anesthesia and was really scared and worried to be there by myself. When my husband asked where he can wait the rude receptionist told him he can do "what ever he wanted to do" and that he would get a phone call when to pick me up, so no explanation of any kind was given. Not when the doctor would call, not whether someone would come out and actually talk to him face to face to explain the after care, not even an offer to stay inside just so he can see the medical staff if the need be. After the surgery, my husband got a voice mail from the doctor and when he called back to speak with him, the receptionist went on to give him attitude about waiting for the message instead of asking the doctor to come to the phone. Furthermore when the nurse that initially didn't let him in with me in the morning called my husband after the procedure, she for some reason told him that she would let him in to the building and let him see me and help get dressed and situated after the surgery, and he said that he will be there in 5 minutes. 45 minutes later she never came outside to get him, never let him in and never even told me that he is coming. She ended up wheeling me outside and acted like nothing happened, didn't even let him wheel me to the car and just shoved a bunch of prescription paperwork to him without explaining anything and said "have a nice day". He was freezing cold outside waiting for her for 45 minutes to let him in, worried sick because he knew how scared i was to begin with. I don't understand what a cold heartless person would do such a thing and play with another persons feelings like that. Isn't it nurses job to make sure that patient and family members are comfortable and not to cause them more stress??? My family plenty of medical procedures done at Lake West hospital, Cleveland clinic and private surgery centers such as this one, but i have never seen such a terrible and rude team of people treating patients and families like they are not human. I am extremely disappointed in this facility, it was very traumatic for me and my husband. I should have read the reviews before since they clearly show a consistent problem with the staff, i just never imagined that this kind of behavior is possible this day and age. With that said, the surgery team and my doctor preforming the surgery were excellent, it is a shame that this facility puts a bad reputation on surgeons who preform operations there, it is unacceptable. Please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere if you don't want to have a nervous breakdown with these people.
The surgery team is great , the front desk staff is very rude :(
Staff was super nice and helpful. I was very nervous for my surgery and everyone reassured me that everything would go good and it did!
I had breast reduction surgery on 12/7/20 And my experience was one of a kind. The staff was welcoming. Dr. Pandrangi, the nurses (wish I remembered their names) and director of the facility were exceptional! I appreciate everyone involved and highly recommend anyone considering having a procedure here. They all made me feel very comfortable and assured me that I was in good hands as I was very scared and apprehensive. Thank you all again.
Both of my sons have had procedures done here at a young age and each time we had a very pleasant experience. The front staff ladies are sweet as can be. The nurses care for the kids like they are their own. And the anesthesiologist and surgeons are incredibly kind and great at what they do. Top notch care from top notch professionals. Highly recommended!!!
The doctor who performed my son’s surgery was wonderful. However he was running late so my son’s recovery time were rushed to the point that the lady had go outside and locked us out as they pushed my son around to dress him. He was out of it, the medicine really effected him and all the nurses and mangers could think was leaving. It’s an awful place to go. Please as your doctor for another place to perform your surgery.
This review is for the soon to be patient who is trying to build up courage when navigating through their first surgery. I, like most people who want to be sure we are making the right decision, wanted to write a review after my recent visit to the Big Creek Surgery Center to reassure someone who has doubts or just didn't obtain enough info based off of previous reviews. [I had been scheduled for Sinus Surgery on February 19th 2020.] I'd like to start my review off the day prior to my appointment. I had received a phone call from Big Creek Surgery to let me know the time of my appointment and what I should do prior to coming into the surgery center. She was very helpful, well spoken, and pleased to answer any questions I may have had. It was also helpful that I thought about questions and wrote them down the week prior. On the day of arrival, my wife and I was greeted by Sue, I believe she was an administrator of the facility. Regardless, she openly welcomed and consoled us when finding out that this was my first surgery and that I was nervous. She assured me that I was in good hands and from the tone in which she spoke, I believed her. She reassured me about how great the surgeons and staff were and that she had entrusted her own child unto their care. She put me and my wife at ease getting us ready for the next step. I was summoned to the back by one of the many physician I encounter along the way; Remembering names was never a strong suit with me. She was happy to see me and was clear on every instruction. I can tell making me comfortable was a high priority. Once again, I remained at ease as I awaited my turn. Before heading to the surgery room, I was approached by my anesthesiologist and ENT Doctor, Dr. Mehle, who would be performing the sinus surgery. Both men were very calm and willing to listen to any concerns or questions that I had. Their calmness was contagious and further reassured that I had a professional team. As I was escorted to the surgery room, I encountered numerous smiling people who were happy to help and constantly offering information as to what was happening. With each name I was given, I was so determined to remember every one of them. I know there wasn't going to be a test, but every face was just as important as the last. I couldn't help but be so thankful for the people who were surrounding me, knowing that they help people every day. That their career must be so fulfilling and equates to that of superhero that I would normally otherwise read about... [Blacked Out] I heard my name being called out. I can hear people talking off into the distance; it was the nurses. They were conversing with my wife. As I came to, the voices became much more prominent. I softly awoke to one of the nurse's voice asking me how I felt. I assured her that I felt fine and that I couldn't believe it was already over. She asked me if I wanted something to drink and proceed to give my wife more information that will help later. I felt safe. I felt like, if I had to do it again, I wouldn't even hesitate. After I was comfortable getting up, they wheeled me out while my wife pulled the car around. As I got in the car and we said our goodbyes, I felt happy that I made it through the procedure. As we were driving away, I can see the nurse carting the wheel chair back inside, it brought me comfort knowing that someone else will use that same wheel chair after the same experience that I have encountered. Not only did I have a great experience at Big Creek, and am more confident in surgery, I am less cynical. The day after surgery they followed up with me to make sure everything was okay and provided more information for any concerns I might have had. I'm not hoping that I need surgery anytime soon, but if I did … I know where I will be going. Thank You Big Creek Surgery, Surgeons and Staff, for everything you've done for me. -Ben
