List of Emil Hayek's Reviews
Dr Hayek is truly an amazing doctor. My sister is a new patient of his and already he has provided more empathetic care and a solid plan for pain management than she has received in likely her entire adult life. I can’t express how thankful I am for him and I only wish there were more doctors like him. I highly recommend him!
He did a procedure in my spine for nothing dec 7 2021.I been off my job since dec 18 2021 in severe pain can barely walk i have ilioinguinal neuralgia from an ob doing a c section on me 10 years ago at huron rd.where when he saw he me totally ignored me as if i wasnt there and wants my insurance to pay three thousand dollar for unnecessary spine procedure .now he wants me to have ultrasound nerve block done and continue physical therapy.something fishy.im deeply sad of all this pain im suffering
The doc listened to me didn't make me feel uncomfortable I liked his manner I would recommend him
He has always been professional and knowledgeable. He gives great service and has an awesome staff.

My mother who is a chronic pain patient, has crest syndrome, which includes scleroderma, and many other painful conditions, she has to have a hip revision, and was told until she has the revision she has an 80-90% chance of her hip popping out doing normal activities, and it has 3 times in 4 months, her hip being in wrong has caused the metal in her back to shift, and now has a fracture in her lumbar spine. Dr. Hayek took her off all her pain meds, gave her sleeping pills, and told her to exercise. He obviously didn’t read her chart or just doesn’t care because it’s wrong and a very horrible way to do medicine!!
I like him hes a good doctor
I’ve been seeing him for 3 years. He’s a very good doctor.
I had him only a few months or less. He put me on something that they use for people who are coming off heroin. I ended up shaking and having seizures. I told him that it was causing a problem and he got mad and told me that he was not going to treat me because I was not doing what he recommended. I was told by a doctor in a hospital that if I would have followed what he wanted that I would have died because of my history of seizures and me having them with his treatment. Be careful because he doesn't listen and acts like he knows what works for your body. The staff backs him up even though it was life and death. Be leary of him and his staff.
I received an injection for Dr Hayek. Got some relief so I called to make another appointment for another injection. Dr Hayek called and said he was told that the injection did not work. I said to him that this was our first time discussing how I was doing. I suggested that he may have me mistaken with another patient. The doctor then suggested I get an implant that will continuously give me pain medication. I thought this was not realistic and again asked if he called the right person. I asked if he remembered me from my two visit. one in the office and one to have the injections. He said he has hundreds of patients and did not remember who I was. Dr Hayek then sounding agitated said He was on the other line and did not have the time to discuss my issue. I reminded him that he just called me with upsetting news that cortico steroid were not an option and at the same time he was on a more important call. I told him it would have been better if he called when he had his fact straight and was not juggling other people at the same time. t really seemed that Dr. Salim M. Hayek was not well informed of my current condition and was not open to hearing from me that the injections gave me some relief. He did ask me to come to his office to go over my scans. I reminded him that we did talk about my radiology scans as I have had several surgeries. That looked good. I told him I was no longer comfortable seeing him and I felt that he was rude to call in the manner that he did. A few days later I got a letter stating I was a non compliant patient and Dr. Hayek could no longer see me as a patient. From the beginning Dr Hyek was quick to do the procedure he wanted to do. He said if one thing does not work don't worry there are many other things he could do. When I met him during the procedure he showed some signs of confusion about my needs and history. He was very busy and in a hurry to get the next patient on the table. Nothing I did was non compliant. I merely corrected the doctor on what he was saying and expressed that I was feeling uncomfortable. I am filing a complaint and I hope to get an apology. I don't see how standing up for myself and asking to be treated respectfully and professionally is non compliant. I can not recommend Dr. Hayek due to this unfortunate and frustrating experience.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
