His, secretary sent me for a covid test to a facility that did not do that test. This was hard on me seeing that I was recovering from open heart surgery. And was having a hard time getting around. Messaged his office from my chart and never received a reply. And it was about my sternum clicking and popping. My sternum is giving me problems and no one cares.and he performed the surgery??

2006, Dr. Gill implanted a bovine aortic valve. Never a problem.

He is an outstanding doctor, extremely competent

Dr. Gill did not explain all the risks involved with my surgery, even with meeting with him twice before my surgery. I had many complications and his surgical report did not mention any. I have to rate him as one star. If there was a zero, I would rate him as that.

Excellent surgeon.About 2.5 months ago my husband had a quadruple bypass surgery, aortic valve replacement and a good portion of aorta replaced. Original plan was to replace the valve and only do triple bypass, plus repair or replace just a small portion of aorta.When he opened up his chest and assessed the true condition of his heart,he decided right on the spot to proceed with more aggressive approach.He is very knowledgeable,experienced surgeon and quickly makes tough decisions .

I would recommend this Dr.and staff to any one who needs surgery ..His nurse practitioner was exceptional .

After reading the review on Dr. Gill , I feel compelled to point out that every one deserves compassion. Dr. Gill had a life altering year, suffering a deep personal loss. While attending to his patients, and continuing to perform life threatening surgeries, Dr. GILLS wife was diagnosed with terminal cancer and was fighting for her life. Dr. Gill continued to care for his patients, while running ragged caring for his dying wife and juggling the needs of his 3 children. I can only commend him on his ability to save others lives, while unfortunately loosing the battle to save his own wife's life. I cannot say I would still be able to devote myself to such a stressful and important job, while loosing the love of my life to a vicious and cruel disease. I hope you understand that Dr. Gill is only human and deserves compassion too.

It would probably be helpful to, after performing surgery on a patient, make sure you know which patient you're talking about when the family has concerns. Apparently Dr. Gill doesn't feel the same, as he confused my father with not one but two different patients and wanted to quickly dismiss symptoms that turned out to be caused by a stroke. His only saving grace is his PA, who is considerate and helpful and, luckily, can keep his patients straight for him. He should be taking lessons from her on bedside manner, and should be remembering that the people he is performing new procedures on are loved members of someone's family, and not just another notch in his belt. Being a good doctor requires more than being the best at minimally invasive procedures, or saving a life in an operating room. A little compassion, even if it isn't sincere, can go a long way.
