List of Sandhia Varyani's Reviews
I moved back to the Cleveland area and was once again recommended Dr. Varyani by my UH physician. I will NOT be taking that recommendation and am sharing so others don’t. A few years ago, I had a bad test result. Dr. Varyani had horrible bedside manner, casually chalking it up to “it could be cancer” and walking out of the room. She showed no empathy. I left the appointment crying. When I came back in for a biopsy, she didn’t explain the procedure, gave me no time to ask questions or share concerns, and she walked out of the room abruptly after the procedure. I was so scarred from this experience that I avoided seeing a gynecologist entirely for years after this appointment.
Terrible experience. I agree with other reviews. She is demeaning, lacking empathy and rushes through your appointment. She avoids answering your questions. Office staff are also very unprofessional. Stay away.
I wish I would’ve read the reviews before booking my first appointment. Like many others, my appointment was very brief and then when I mentioned I had questions, she stood at the door with her hand on the door knob while she dismissed everything I said. She is very rude and speaks to you in a demeaning way. I also have the hardest time getting in touch with the office. They are never back from scheduled breaks on time, and there has been times where I have had to call the main UH line for them to get in touch and transfer the call. I would advise to go to any other doctor besides Variyani.
After reading some other reviews I felt compelled to write a review. I went to Dr. Varyani awhile back. At first she was great delivered 2 of my children. However, after that she wasn’t. In the middle of my visit, she took a phone call while I was in the middle of my exam in stirrups. The phone call took approximately 10 to 15 minutes. She came back in the room and quickly finished up. When I went to start asking her questions she said I needed to make another appointment for her to answer the questions I had. She spent only 5 minutes with me while spending more time on the phone. I left and never went back. I understand the pressure UH and the Cleveland clinic put on their doctors to see more patients per hour but that was ridiculous. I would recommend if you want to see a doctor that truly cares do not go to dr varyani.
Dr. Varyani is a force of nature. I cannot say enough about her or her tech, Athena. As a team they are nothing sort of incredible. I've read the reviews that say she's too abrupt, and I will say she's quick (I think that's a bonus when there is a speculum involved) but any time I have had questions she is patient and answers them thoroughly. My husband was unsure about her bedside manner when he first met her (much like some of the other reviewers), but quickly came to appreciate her matter-of-fact nature. She and Athena caught my preeclampsia in time and even though my son was 6 weeks early he was healthy largely due to her diligence and because she is efficient and takes charge of the room. (My husband likened her to a superhero when it came time to actually deliver) If you need reassurance and a "sit down and talk" kind of doctor, then sure she may not be your cup of tea, but for me, knowing I had someone who is at the top of their profession and was precise and knowledgeable matters more. And for the record, I find her REALLY easy to talk to. Final thing I will say, I just had my mammogram. The tech told me it would be a week to 10 days for results, which is a little stressful, but I get it. Scan was a 3pm, at 4:45 I had a message from Dr. Varyani that my scans were clear. So my point is, she IS fast, but when it's your health on the line, fast matters. I 100% believe in her compassion and her level of knowledge. She is amazing.
Terrible doctor Not only is she rude and unkind with terrible bedside manner. She sorely lacks any medical knowledge. I went in and described my symptoms to her and she could not give me any reasonable explanation or treatment and told me to just come back in a couple months if the symptoms didn’t resolve on their own. I went to another gyn who actually did a work up and treated me and explained all my symptoms and told me what was going on So I didn’t feel crazy Avoid her at all costs I question her medical knowledge and decision making.
She is the worst EVER Stay away from her My last visit with her was literally 6minutes long and that included a Pap test and internal exam. She didn’t have time to listen to me as I had so many questions as my health has changed a bit she told me to make another appt to talk. ARE YOU KIDDING ME
I feel that for prompt care for any patient a average visit to the doctor should be at least 2030 mins. With Dr.Varyani the average visit is about 1015 mins. My concerns are never addressed because she is rushing out the room and talking over me to get nothing out her mouth so she can go on to see the next patient. I have never went to a office where my concerns did not matter. There is no concern at all with her. She’s very rude and I don’t see why she practices with the horrible bedside manner she has she should have never went into this field if your main goal is not to take care of the patient. I felt like I was just another $ and I’m paying for time that I never receive I really go in to see the staff. The front office girls are really kind and Caring and her assistant is also. But if I were you I would stay away because she really does not give adequate care that a patient needs to actually leave and say ok I’m going to be ok.
Disappointed
Very professional, quick, to the point, and very nice. She was recommended by another physician to me. I like her whole office staff. Would recommend her to my friends.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
