List of Asher Anthony's Reviews
Dr. Asher performed a right L5 nerve decompression surgery on me May 5, 2021. My L5 nerve was severely compressed and causing pain down my right leg to my foot. I had seen Dr. Asher on 2 previous occasions and really liked his direct approach of telling me what he can do for my back, which is a very complicated spine, and what he can't do for my back. He is a patient and compassionate physician who I trust completely to perform surgery on my spine. I was up walking around within an hour of surgery with minimal pain and left the surgery center shortly afterwards. He called my wife shortly after surgery to tell her that all went well, which was greatly appreciated. I drove about 200 miles from Charleston, SC to have Dr. Asher perform my surgery and it was well worth the effort.
Dr Asher and his team did a awesome job on my daughter who had to have an emergency surgery during the pandemic. He got us in and out as soon as he could to avoid her being in the hospital any longer than necessary. His Nurse is amazing and treated us so awesome when we had to go into the office during all the craziness to get staples removed. Thank you Dr. Asher and Staff!!!!
He messed up my brain
Dr. Asher and his team performed emergency surgery on me for a Traumatic Brain Injury received in a fall. He saved my life and anyone needing a complex brain surgery would be as blessed as I was and am to be treated by him and his phenomenal team. If you are reading this review, please know you are in the very best of care and hands and all the very best to you with your recovery. Sue M.
I am a patient of Dr.Asher and his amazing team. I have a very long road ahead from my cancer. I was facing death the day I arrived with a Medulloblastoma tumor and hydrocephalus. Because of his amazing experience and his amazing team, I can now type this review. I can not thank him enough, there are no words to describe how lucky I am to be alive because of this amazing brilliant doctor. All I can say is thank you Dr.Asher for being there and saving my life. I will forever love you and your amazing team. I thank you for being there and loving your career as much as do and saving lives everyday. For the next people that become your patients are in the most amazing hands. You are so special to me and all of us patients. Thank you sir. I am honored that you worked on me. I was very lucky to have you. David Dentici
My husband saw Dr Asher as a new patient and he spent all of 2 minutes with him. He has had terrible pain for the past several months and all we got was a couple minutes of his time for him to tell us he could not help him. He could have given a care less about helping my husband and rushed us out of the office.
Dr Asher was on his cell phone as they took my wife into the operating room. He came back out in 15 minutes said it was glioblastoma multforme. He said it could not be removed. I did not accept that, and Dr Alan Friedman removed it. Dr Asher was quick in and out telling my children and me what he found. He had an urgent need to attend and could care less about us. I would never recommend him.
He's a freaken Hack. He ruined my life. My brain surgery he botched. My life is over....freaken over
He wasn't straight with me at all. I lost my life after he butchered my brain surgery....Make sure you ask your doctors if medication alone will control your symptoms....i was never told it could, and was very vunerable at the time, I feel they took advantage of me, sue to my vunerabilities.
Very aggravated. This doctor has not been forthcoming with information.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
