I knew I had to have cataract surgery after I went to another eye doctor. I was not happy with the service that was rendered. I researched the eye doctors and the Internet and decided on Dr. Epitropoulis . Contacted the Eye Center of Columbus regarding an eye appointment. The representative was extremely helpful in scheduling the appointment and told me what to expect during the consultation. Dr Epitropoulis was very knowledgeable and explained all the concerns that can possibly happened with surgery. Everyone was knowledgeable and now, I can now see 20/20 in my left eye verses the 20/60 or 20/70 that I was seeing before. Surgery went well.no discomfort. I am very blessed to have Dr. Epitropoulis and her staff to handle my procedure.

The doc seems to be more interested in making money than taking care of me. the wait time is like 3 hours in total. do not think I will be back.

I am very happy with my cataract surgery. I see better than I ever have. I still have to wear glasses but I can see better when they are off also. Have a stigmatism that I have had all my life. Was very happy with the results of the surgery. Dr. Epitropoulos is the best doctor ever. I would not go to anyone else if I have any other eye issues.

I have recently been a patient of Dr. Epitropoulos At the Eye Center of Columbus. I am a special needs patient for both physical and psychological reasons and I have a large service dog that goes with me every place I go. Dr. Epitropoulos and the entire staff of the Eye Center of Columbus and the on-site surgical center could not have been more accommodating. From the moment I entered the facility the upbeat, warm, friendly, yet professional of attitude all of the staff was omnipresent. They were eager to do whatever needed to be done to make me, my dog, and my wife, who always accompanies me to medical appointments, feel welcome. They were not just pleasant because I was a patient, they were eager to do anything and everything possible to make any and all accommodations that I desired. From the moment I arrived at the reception desk I noticed the warm, welcoming feeling that is pervasive at the Eye Center of Columbus was clearly evident. There is an incredibly special feeling ofcompassion, skill, knowledge, and genuine concern for the patient welfare at the Eye Center of Columbus. Dr. Epitropoulos and her staff and everyone at the Eye Center of Columbus and Surgery Center never reacted to the accommodations I needed as if they were a hindrance but treated them as something they enjoy doing to make my visit as wonderful as it could be. Dr. Epitropoulos even handpicked the surgical staff that assisted her during my surgery to make sure I had the right people for my unique situation. The on premisis surgery was done by Dr. Epitropoulos and assisted by on site staff. The surgical team was well briefed, ready, willing, and able to give me the special assistance needed; the surgical staff rose to the same superlative level of excellence I found during my care at the Eye center. Not something I would want to repeat. They tried to get me to pay extra for toric lenses for minimal astigmatism; then Dr. E. was so uninterested she failed to mark my eye prior to the surgery, leaving it for the anesthesiologist, who stabbed me in the eye, leaving it completely bloody and very painful. Not sure how to insert a lens under these conditions. When I complained at the after surgery meeting, she angrily said, "You had eye surgery!" and when I noted this hadn't happened with the previous eye, she retorted each surgery is different. Indeed. Even prior to this I found her uninterested in explaining the surgery, other than to assert that she wouldn't do it so I could avoid glasses, which was never what I asked for. My opthamologist had recommended surgery several years ago, and even Dr. E. said the cataracts were "mature." There was no follow-up about my injured eye after the post-cataract meeting to remove the eye shield.

The cataract surgery was for my wife. Since birth, she has experienced challenges with vision in her left. Neither of us expected the remarkable improvement in her uncorrected vision in that eye from this surgery. From being unable to see the ‘E’ she now has 20/40 vision without wearing her glasses. Surgery was as described and comfortable with an easy recovery. As a professional artist, my wife is like a kid in a candy store. She now sees colors and values much better and her depth perception is greatly improved. These are her words but she is using my Google account to respond to this survey. Excellent care in every regard. Dr. E removed cataracts in each eye with excellent results. I especially appreciated how clinically careful and conservative the process was, especially compared to the experiences of some of my friends. I felt every precaution was taken to insure a complication free outcome. I would recommend her without hesitation.

I would request Dr Epitropoulos if any further treatment or surgery would be needed. Thank you for your care.
