She seem to cancel a few days before our appointment. This has happened every time my mom has scheduled to see her. Also we asked for a referral from Dr Sawchyn for my mom and she refused to give her a referral because she is not the one referring her to the doctor of my moms choice. Instead we are referred to the medical records released department. Doesn’t makes sense, but we know we made the best decision to switch doctors.

She scheduled my husband’s appointment at 3:25pm and we are still waiting and its now 5:16pm. We always seem to have to wait for her over two hours. I believe she does it on purpose. Perhaps she has a certain feeling about my husband and I and wants us not to come back. I think I know why, but won’t say but I think when you see us it’s quite apparent.

Dr. Sawchyn kept me waiting in her exam room for 40 minutes. As I got up to leave she rushed in—without an apology or explanation, but with a bad attitude. Against my better judgment I sat back down to get the exam over with. When I felt her press her equipment against my cornea I realized I didn’t trust her examining my eyes given mood. I told her to stop the exam so that I could leave. Shockingly, she became enraged and began yelling that I was dismissed from her practice as she rushed out of the exam room. Her extremely inappropriate, emotional outburst could be heard throughout the entire office and waiting area. As I walked out of the exam room, Dr. Sawchyn continued her emotional outburst, yelling that she’d send me a dismissal letter. No problem; I would never subject myself to Dr. Sawchyn’s abusive and irrational behavior again anyway.

Dr. Sawchyn got me in right away when I had an issue and spent the time needed to help me understand what was going on. I am sure I was a little fidgety because I am not used to someone touching my eye, but the exam was quick and painless.
