Shady place divorced medication on me but I've never taken in my life

It wasn't what I wanted but God bless the twp's and the rest of the staff because being there was what I needed. I had a chemical imbalance and my brain was over producing some chemicals and under producing others. The staff of 1D was kind and helpful. The classes were great and the structure and routines of the days were well thought out.

Unfortunately, I had a very negative experience. I planned a visit to see my loved one. The social worker on unit 1A and a TPW miscommunicated and then proceeded to blame me the vistor and then threaten to cancel the visit due to there lack of communication and unprofessionalism. The staff, typically is great, however, this instance was not therapeutic to my loved one and makes me question the true care and concern of those individuals involved. May you all find peace in your lives and treat others as you would like to be treated at all times.

Our experience with Central Ohio Behavioral Health has been extremely upsetting and disheartening. My family has been trying to support a loved one currently receiving care there, but the lack of communication, compassion, and basic human dignity has made this experience feel more like punishment than treatment. We’ve been given conflicting information by different staff members regarding procedures, visitation, and care. No one seems to be on the same page, and this inconsistency only adds to the stress we’re already under. Staff have been dismissive and at times outright rude. Calls go unanswered, and requests for updates or to schedule a visit are ignored. What’s most disturbing is how our loved one is being treated—not like a patient in need of care, but like a prisoner. They can’t even shower regularly, and the level of basic care is appalling. Visiting hours are extremely limited, and the lack of transparency and empathy from staff is unacceptable. Mental health crises require structure, respect, and support—not chaos and indifference. I sincerely hope this review helps spark accountability and change, because right now, it’s clear that something is very wrong here.

I would put negative stars if possible. My brother voluntarily went to COBH for treatment for depression, but his condition drastically worsened under their care— due to the medications they put him on, which altered his mental state and led to him being placed in maximum security. He was subjected to abuse from both staff and other patients, including being punched in the face. he is provoked by staff on a regular, in order to get codes called on him. Communication with family has been mostly ignored—we are still not allowed to see or contact him to this day. His legal representative(wife) was excluded from key meetings, and staff were unresponsive, dismissive, and cruel. He has been treated more like a criminal than someone in need of help. This facility has zero compassion, no professionalism, and no respect for patient rights. Think twice before trusting them with someone you care about. if this is happening to my loved one here it will happen to yours too.
