I saw Dr Garrett at the recommendation of another dr. I arrived on time (early to fill out forms) she was over 2 hours late for my appointment. I was soooo late to work. I was told she had an emergency she was assisting on. Okay thats fine, but I mentioned it when she arrived and she seemed so confused....fast forward I had surgery with her. The area got infected. I called and asked nurses multiple times and they said sounds like its fine and you can wait till your post op appointment. I come in, yup infected. "Why didn't you come in sooner?" um your nurses said not to......so instead of 1 surgery....I end up going under 4 times from Aug to Dec of 2016...and I requested a different doctor. He even made comments that he wouldn't have done thing they way she chose to. Now I have some issues and have lost control as my muscle strength was damaged and I have to wear pads most days to stay clean. I would not recommend her. While she was very nice and did answer questions, she was late, no sense or urgency, and missed things that resulted in me having to go under 4 times vs 1.....I regret seeing her. But open to that area is often one to get infected even if you are CRAZY about cleaning and following instructions.

Dr. Garrett gave a good first impression and after a negative experience with a different facility thought I had found a doctor I could trust. I was anxious about the procedure and asked that she perform it rather then a fellow or med student. She assured me that she would and after the procedure when I got the post operative reports I saw that another doctor who I never met did the procedure. I found that to be extraordinarily disrespectful and very frustrating that I didn't even meet the doctor who did my procedure. Following my procedure I had post operative complications and when I called to speak to the doctor I was told that the doctor does not take patient calls. This is not the way to practice medicine and I wish I would have seen a doctor who cared more to follow patient wishes and was there for me after the procedure. I would not recommend this doctor.

Some years ago I went from doctor to doctor searching for one who really knew "their stuff". Alas I found Dr Kelly, a DO which was an extra plus, and he was able to not only answer all my questions but to cure/heal any medical issue I had. He is caring, knows what he is doing and is overall wonderful as a physician and is patient friendly!
