List of Harmony Bay's Reviews
I would not recommend this agency. I am a licensed social worker and I sought out services through Harmony Bay. My experience has not been great. Some of my concerns include unprofessionalism, ethical concerns, and the inability to contact the agency. Updated to reflect that I've been trying to get in to uch with the front desk for two days about medication. No answer, no call back, etc. The new portal doesn't work, so patients are just stuck and out of options. Still would not recommend. Gerald was great though. I wish I could see him sans HB, but there are plenty more options. I hope this helps you make an informed decision on your journey to wellbeing.
My mother passed away a month ago and Dr. Noriyo Shoji-Schaffner directed my husband to do something that I specifically asked him not to do out of respect due to the grief I am currently experiencing. Rather than respecting those boundaries and giving me time to grieve first, Nori directed my husband to proceed and to "throw her under the bus" if it backfires. She has zero consideration for a person in mourning and has jeopardized our marriage. Harmony Bay should reconsider having someone as heartless and careless as Nori as a "therapist" as she clearly doesn't understand the complexity and fragility of other human beings experiencing significant loss and hardship.
The billing department is useless the director herself told me that her system is backwards and she's never seen a company do it this way and she thinks it makes no sense, ok? Great to hear as someone paying you multiple times a month I received proof from my insurance company that they were billing late and then tell me it was on my insurance company they will charge you whenever they want they will lie about it and there is 0 accountability as I said the director doesn't understand her own system and admitted it on a recorded line, second issue therapist recommended a "higher level of care" i.e a mental hospital after I stated I was not in crisis and was not having suicidal or harmful thoughts she made this recommendation with less than 5 minutes left in our session. This then sent me spiraling for days in a way that I hadn't previously. I had to consult two different mental health professionals after this whom both said she was completely out of line for suggesting this and inpatient is for people in crisis which I definitely was not. She was never held accountable for this. I have never heard any follow-up and all I got from her is a bill. So what this shows me is not only does she not care about her patients but she is willing to suggest a higher level of care to get a kick back which is incredibly unethical. I have reported this place to the better Business bureau as I have seen multiple other reviews of them doing this. I've looked into it and it looks like they manage the companies that they are referring you out to so they're just making more money off you. If you do end up going to one of these impatients that they send you to absolutely disgusting. This place should be shut down and I hope everyone here is ashamed of themselves
Got the right diagnosis with the right combo of medication. I feel much better and glad I took the chance. Also therapy has helped me through my moms death.
Found Mr Terrance Tufts online. He is listed as doing in person and telehealth visits. When I called to inquire about pricing I was told by Joy "to see the back of my insurance card" I never got an answer about out of pocket pricing. I also asked about in person appointments and was told they only do telehealth despite advertising as in person. When I asked why? "That's just their pratice". Her attitude got worse the longer the conversation, I have no clear answers about this practice, their pricing or why they advertise one way but only do another. I was told to reach out to my insurance to find an in person therapist. If this is how the secretaries are I could only imagine being a patient here
Says they offer in person services on their website, but they are telehealth only as of current. You would think they would make it easier on people in crisis or on the brink of crisis to know what to expect and that they would not have deceptive marketing, but here we are.
This is 1000% a scam. I just had to cancel and block my debit card because they will keep running your card even when you haven’t talked to them in months. Do not go here !
Good service.
Every session at Harmony Bay felt like a step closer to my true self. Their therapists are not just professionals but compassionate human beings who genuinely care. My gratitude knows no bounds.
Stress had become a staple in my life, affecting not only my mental but physical well-being. Harmony Bay's comprehensive approach towards mental healthcare has been a revelation. Their workshops, therapy sessions, and continuous support have transformed my life. It's like rediscovering oneself, and I owe it all to them.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
