Crook who lost his license in many states. He didn't even deserve to be in medical school. When he was there he literally failed everything too

After seeing my former orthopedic surgeon and was told that I would need a total knee replacement and their office only did partials, I went to work researching and asking around for recommendations. I was told not to have my surgery done in Albany, but my research kept bringing me back to Dr. Ryan. I also strongly believe in utilizing local services to maintain a strong community! After hearing all of my options from Dr. Ryan, I felt immediately connected and confident that Dr. Ryan was going to be my surgeon. Not only does Dr. Ryan possess professionalism, care and compassion but he has surrounded himself with a team of exceptional, caring professionals. I am now 4 weeks post surgery and I feel great! I could not be happier with the excellent care that I received from Dr. Ryan and his staff and the incredible care and accommodations at Albany General Hospital! Thank you Dr. Ryan, your staff and to Albany General Hospital and their staff for allowing me to walk pain free for the first time in a very long time and look forward to an active and healthy future!

Dr. Ryan performed my hip replacement even though I was severely over weight. He took a chance on me and changed my life. Great doctor, even better human.

Dr Ryan is an excellent physician. He is very well educated in his profession. He is compationate and makes you feel comfortable and assured that he can help you. I recommend him to anyone who may be apprehensive about surgery.

Dr. Ryan performed a partial left knee replacement for me this last April. The whole experience with both him and his staff was nothing but positive. From my first visit with him he sat us down and explained everything thoroughly to us and we never felt rushed. We left his office feeling very confident about the up coming surgery. The staff at Albany Hospital were also very good and caring to us. I also might add Dr.Ryan replaced both of my wifes hips 5years ago with the same results. He has put together a wonderful team and I would recomend them to anyone in need of his services.

Dr. Ryan performed total knee replacement surgery (left knee) for me on December 11, 2018. Everything has gone smoothly. He and his surgical team, plus the post-op nursing staff at Samaritan Albany General Hospital, were competent, efficient, courteous, and caring. I could not be more pleased with the result, and with the physical therapy I'm getting that is resulting in increased strength and flexibility almost daily. I can highly recommend Dr. James Ryan for joint replacement surgery.

Everything about Dr. Ryan's team, including Tiara Packer and the administrative staff was top notch. As a veteran using VCA I was treated with the utmost respect by everyone at Good Sam in Corvallis. It took three years for the VA to approve my hip surgery and I am grateful for the life changing direction that Dr. Ryan and his staff provided.

I have been trying to find a doctor that is willing to help with my newly diagnosed HCM. When i visited Dr. Ryan, I felt he just wasn't very concerned about what I was going through or the severity of it for me and my life. Luckily he had a resident with him that actually suggested I get a cardiac loop monitor implanted. I'm extremely grateful for that. I feel that Dr. Ryan doesn't do a lot of "doctoring". I just expected more from OSU.
