I can't say enough about my experience with Dr.Bishop! She was very nice and pleasant and explained everything to my family right away, would definitely recommend!!
Julie, I can't thank you enough for repairing my shoulder after my M/C accident in Florida. I was in a lot of pain and discomfort and thrilled with the outcome of the surgery. The hospital and office staff were beyond great as was all of my follow up care. I would give them a 20 out of 10!! Dr. Bishop and her team are the real deal, and I would recommend them to any and all who need any shoulder work. (My granddaughter also approved of Julies work in getting PAPAW back in shape)
Dr. Bishop did my TSA in 2011. She did an amazing job. I highly recommend her. Very understanding and caring. Just love her.
Dr. Bishop and her team are excellent. I would go nowhere else for shoulder surgery.
Awesome dr. Love her!!!
I had a very severe shoulder injury n she did an amazing job and made me feel like home. I would reccomend her to anyone, truly in my experience the best!!
If I could give her 10 stars I would. She fixed my very messed up shoulder and was kind and understanding throughout the process.
My dad crashed his bike and the first surgeon botched the job. Dr. Bishop came to the rescue and did amazing work. We are very grateful.
Dr. Bishop worked miracles to rebuild my shoulder after an accident. This was over 4 years ago and my shoulder has never been better! I was referred to her by a friend who also had a very successful surgery by her. You won't find better!
Update 4/11/20 Initial surgery with Dr. Bishop was June of 2018. So, this is almost a 2-year update. My shoulder is still extremely tight and very painful in comparison to what it was prior to the labrum repair I received from Dr. Bishop. I am still unable to do various simple, daily tasks that I was able to do before Dr. Bishop’s surgery. For example, I have had to move the cups in my cupboard to the bottom shelf as I am not able to reach above my head anymore. Bishop told me this would change over time... I even had a second surgery with a world-renowned surgeon out of the Washington DC area. He did comprehensive examinations along with imaging and informed me my shoulder was simply a mess and he would have to undo what Dr. Bishop did just to give me some pain relief. Thanks to his surgery, I have less pain on a daily basis, however the tightness and loss of range of motion from the surgery with Dr. Bishop will never be regained. Very, very unfortunate and I am very dissatisfied with the care I received from OSU, Dr. Bishop, and her partner. If I could go back to the date of surgery with Dr. Bishop, I would have never showed up. Initially, I had a great experience with Dr. Bishop. I went in to see her with shoulder issues that other surgeons have told me “I would just have to deal with.” She made me feel like she could finally fix my shoulder; what a relief that was. She performed a biceps tenodesis and a labrum repair. Fast forward 8 months later. I went to physical therapy twice a week for 6 months and did excersises and stretches at home like clockwork in order to recover as best I could. Therapy was always painful and discouraging and I am still having worse, and more consistent pain than I had pre-surgery and my range of motion has significantly decreased, even worse than pre-surgery. I go in to see Dr. Bishop for a follow-up and now all the sudden, she says I need a partial shoulder replacement! She refers me to her partner who says I need a FULL shoulder replacement. How did a labrum repair turn into a full on shoulder replacement? Now I am currently searching for a surgeon elsewhere in hopes they can fix whatever Dr. Bishop did to my shoulder. The reason I did not give a 1-star is because I think she genuinely means well, but just has issues with being wrong or making mistakes.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
