Very talented man, lovely office, and friendly staff. I love these outer Sunset streets, like Taraval, Noriega , they have such interesting stores ....and they are so wide!

I have never reviewed a doctor on Yelp, but after my appointment today with Dr. Ho today, I felt obligated to. His front desk staff is friendly and professional. And the environment is nice and clean. Dr. Ho is very knowledgeable and kind, provided clear explanations, and answered all of my questions. Highly recommend for anyone searching for an ENT specialist.

I’ve been looking for a new family physician and was excited that a new clinic was opening in our neighbourhood. I reached out to the receptionist at the Lakeshore / Long Branch Medi Collective clinic asking to have a meet and greet with one of the new physicians moving to the Lakeshore / Long Branch location. The meet and greet was scheduled with Dr. Kevin Ho. During this call I asked a couple of basic questions (ie, what is your style of practicing medicine / how do you collaborate with your patients / are there any questions you think I should be asking you). Following the call I did some more research on Dr. Ho and came across his Rate MD page; there were a lot of negative reviews and the traits these other patients mentioned I also noticed during our phone call. I called the Medi Collective back saying that I do not think Dr. Ho and I were the right fit and that I would like to have a meet and greet with the other physician moving to the Long Branch / Lakeshore location - Dr. Seth. My appointment was scheduled for 5:30pm the next week. After not hearing from Dr. Seth by 6pm I called the clinic and asked if everything was okay - if he was running late it’s no problem, I just wanted to be aware. At 6:45pm I got a call back saying that Dr. Seth would not speak with me because he had spoken with Dr. Ho who “did not appreciate” my asking questions during our meet and greet because it “took away from patient care”. She explained that because of this Dr. Seth was cancelling my appointment (75 minutes after the scheduled time) and said that if I would like a meet and greet I would have to pay out of pocket for that appointment. Asking a couple of basic questions during a meet and greet with a physician is essential to ensure there is a physician-patient fit. If you do not wish to setup meet and greets where the patient asks basic questions than please do not offer these sorts of appointments. And please have some respect for your patients - don’t tell me 75 minutes after my scheduled appointment that the physician will not see me.

Dr. Ho is an absolutely horrible doctor. He is judgmental, incompetent and extremely rude. He claimed that depression is "all in my head" and forced me to deal with a pharmacy located in the same office building...this is strictly prohibited and yet I was forced to do so. He should not be allowed to practice as his skills are truly lacking and I question his competency. I had been rostered as a patient of Dr. Steven Zizzo's and when I told the office staff that I didn't want to deal with Dr. Ho, he had the audacity to call and challenge me as to why I didn't want to deal with him. He is a terrible physician and you would likely be better dealing with a walk-in clinic as opposed to dealing with this pathetic excuse of a doctor.

Having been a 30+ year patient of Angelo Zizzo, I was moved over to Steven Zizzo as Angelo passed in April of 2020. In the first six months with Steven Zizzo's office, my medications were cut off multiple times, creating huge issues with both my severe sleep disorder, my mental health as well as causing two of my anxiety disorders to return. Dr Ho was the one I spoke to each time I had to call into the office for any reason -- never once did I speak with Steven Zizzo, despite him being listed as my primary doctor now. Dr Ho gave zero care at all that I had been suffering physical and neurological issues as a result of my medications being stopped at random (especially since the withdrawal from them is dangerous if done without tapering and not in a hospital environment). He has zero understanding of my conditions, nor any care at all for the repeated referrals from a previous psych about how my treatment should continue. He has talked over me every single time, and if I started to at all sound as if I know what I'm talking about (how dare a patient know their own health?!), his tone would change to where I was talked down to and treated unprofessionally. Each phone appointment left me emotional, crying and untrusting of this office and those employed in it. I wanted to give the office a chance but each further communication with Dr Ho has me anxious, untrusting and no longer hopeful that I will have any sort of treatment that isn't incorrect and forced on me, like a previous DX and treatment had been for 10 years with Angelo. At this point, I will be looking for another doctor. My mother is having the exact same issues with me and seemed surprised when I came to her expressing my concern with this doctor. He's willing to completely disregard the suggestions and treatment protocol of a team that's known me for 10+ years, when he's only glanced at my file for a few minutes, and already disregarded most of my DX's. That isn't professional in the least. I had high hopes for this office, as Angelo had been lacking in the last 9 years, but unfortunately that's not the case.

I had a telephone meeting with Dr. Ho this morning, although my doctor at the practice is Dr. Steven Zizzo. It's good in a sense that he was running early, but he called me 10 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment time. Had I missed the call, I'm sure they would have documented it as a missed appointment. Anyway, I have been to Urgent Care in regards to a WSIB claim to my right wrist. Despite the recommendations of the two doctors I've now seen at Urgent Care, Dr. Ho had no regard to the other doctors recommendations and action plan. The reason I was even meeting with my family doctor was to do a one week WSIB follow up. Dr. Ho made it clear that he was the medical professional and his recommendations went against the other doctors advice, as well as the information I was giving him. The first Urgent Care doctor advised me to attempt modified duties at work, but to have minimal use of my right hand/wrist. I attempted the modified duties for 3 hours before I couldn't take it anymore. As such, I went back to Urgent Care and saw another doctor. She advised me to be off work completely and she referred me to an Orthopaedic Surgeon, who I see tomorrow. Despite telling Dr. Ho that, he told me that it's been a week now and there is no reason I cannot return to full hours, doing modified duties. He hasn't even seen my wrist, let alone know the full situation prior to making this judgement call. As you would talk, he would talk down to you as if he knew better than you and you just had to listen to what he had to say. If this trend continues that Dr. Steven makes his patients see this "doctor", I will be finding another doctor. For a doctor that is just starting out and is recently licensed, treating your patents the way you do is not going to make you a successful doctor.

Unfortunately, I wish I could take my positive review I left back. Dr. Kevin ho I want you to realize that you broke by patient privacy rights. Running back to Dr. Zizzo was not cool when you know there are issues, my special diet forms once again were left out same that happened in 2019 but when I clearly stated that my medical records are inconsistent. You should have discussed this more with me instead you acted like a deer in headlights, Thanks for nothing

Hopefully Dr.Ho will see this, my name is Sharon Be...e ,. Dr Zizzo whom you work under has failed me. I honestly wish you were not working there but thank you for being concerned about me when I collapsed in the office . Dr. Zizzo does not have the same care for me as he does with others unfortunately

my family and I are new to winterberry family medicine and I have only had 1 telephone appt with Dr. Ho. So far I am very impressed with his knowledge, communication, conscientiousness and efficiency in getting the proper diagnosis. I am also very impressed with the friendliness of his staff.
