Phillip Dixon's Online Review Report Card

The man, the myth, the legend-Dr. Dixon! He is the most caring and interesting eye doctor I have ever had the pleasure meet. I say interesting because right from our initial conversation he was asking me thoughtful questions coupled with offering fascinating and relevant eye knowledge that I was excited to learn! His staff is second to none. I love the wonderful ladies that make everything work up front. Absolutely love going to just talk to them; they are a blast. They also love to talk sports (as do I) and have jersey days at work. As long as I am in the area, I will only allow Dr. Dixon and his staff to care for my eyes. I'd give them a thousand stars if I could.

IMy wife and I have been seeing Dr dixion for about 4 years and it's always been so so but this last visit the receptionist ( nurse rached) was very rude as was Dr dixion and he tells me "we don't accept medical anymore"so it's going to cost me $500 so I should look for someone else.Horrible people.

We've been going to Dr. Dixon for about four years now I believe, ever since we moved to the area. We have received excellent professional service not only from the Doctor but from everyone of his staff. We can easily highly recommend Dr. Dixon to anyone looking for an optometrist anywhere in this area.Plus his prices are extremely fair and resonable

I had a couple of visits with Doctor Dixon, during my first visit dr. Dixon got a little too personal with his conversation, and a few times closer than he should 've been. To a point that he made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I told him that I didn't want to upgrade my prescription at that moment because I wanted to get cheaperframes somewhere else, and he told me that my insurance covered reading glasses for free with no cost with him, and I also could get bifocals else where. Well, I was naive to believe him and it was my bad. On my second visit to pick up my reading glasses I commented that my insurance got denied for frames and he was very rude and didn't want to hear about it. He deserves less than a star!

Dr. gets a 10/10 in my book. Nice guy that will get the job done for you and you can sleep easy at night knowing you have been taken care of. Why only 3 stars you ask? Well keep reading the other reviews below me.

First time walking into the office and the receptionist had a bad attitude. I asked what kind of services did my insurance covered. I mentioned that my old optometrist had covered my lenses and wondered if they also covered it too. She was quick to reply and say, "well if they covered it why don't you just go back" (with an attitude). Not going back.

The front receptionist, I believe her name is Terri, was extremely rude. It was my first time in this office and I can guarantee you it will be the last time I step foot in here. She made a terrible first impression. Her lack or customer service skills was just appaling. When you work at the front desk of an optometrists office you're the first person that interacts with the patients...and I strongly believe this person should not be designated that specific job. There was not a smile nor a welcoming phrase. She barely looked up from her schedule book to make eye contact and when she did it was only to give me a sassy response. Needless to say this is all it took for me to cancel my appointment and book elsewhere. I can only wonder how many other patients she has done this to....

I loved going here for my eye exam. Dr. Dixon is the best! He is personable and very welcoming. They made scheduling an appointment smooth and my exam was done with efficient timing. The only difficulty I had was deciding on a eyeglass frame, from the many many choices they have. I will for sure be back when I am ready for contacts.

I have been going to Dr. Dixon since I moved to Reedley in 1986. He is excellent. He appreciates his patients and has always took care of all my eye needs. I appreciate that he listens to his patients. I also appreciate that if needed he can squeeze you in his busy schedule.I would also like to add that Terri at the front desk is also great to work with. If you need a great eye doctor this is the place that I would recommend to anyone that asks me.

My first time here and will definitely not be my last. Very friendly and welcoming environment. Dr. Dixon thoroughly explains procedures and exams as he's performing them. He has affordable options for patients that are uninsured. Great personality and awesome stories!
