Dr. Johnston has such a world of knowledge. He has been a board certified cardiologist for almost 30 years. People should be aware- there are doctors who are internists and claim to have a specialty in cardiology. That is much different than being a board certified cardiologist. I know this because I have been a nurse for 25 years. Anyways, he has a great bedside manner. He has seen patients throughout Covid when most doctors hid in the basement. He is the real deal. If something is wrong with your heart or your family member’s heart, he’s the man that you want to see. You’ll be glad you did. Just sayin.

Great cardiologist. Great bedside manner and takes the time to listen to what you have to say. Makes timely referrals and you don’t get lost in the cracks there. The staff can be somewhat unmotivated depending on who you get on the phone and sometimes they neglect to do things in a quick manner which can be frustrating. Otherwise one of the better experiences at the doctors office

An exceptional specialist who saved my mother's life in 2011. Words cannot express how thankful we are for Dr. James Johnston's expertise, who identified a sever heart condition my mother had due to failure of the aortic valve and scheduled on time a replacement of the aortic valve.

Staff was great. Dr. Johnston breezed in and talked to me like I was 12. Explained in car terms how an Angiogram worked. Very strange. He was very brief and seemed to be in a hurry. My nuclear stress tests showed that my heart was not getting enough blood flow, and I was told the bottom of my heart was not moving, but didn't explain what that meant. He said to me I may have a 70 to 80% blockage , however, the angiogram showed no blockages. Called to make a follow up appointment and was to all is good , no need to see me. Something is wrong, and further tests should be done. My symptoms didn't go away just because my Angiogram was normal. Not happy with this and will be asking my GP to refer my to another Cardiologist.
