Bradley Jacobs's Online Review Report Card

DR. Bradley Scott Jacobs saw my mother in the ER and admitted her for the weekend. If I could give him 0 stars, which is what he earned, I would. After having suffered stroke symptoms for the second time in one year (first time resulting in two black eyes, cuts and bloody nosus enormous and this time sudden onset wino impressions), she was rushed to the hospital to have the misfortune of meeting this doctor who accused her of embellishing arm and leg movements and demanding pain meds. This doctor said her CT and MRI scans were normal and discharged her while still having symptoms. I took her home in tears. During her stay, he was hyper focused on her anxiety, which is understandable after all shes been through. Even so, he never asked why she was in so much pain or why she was tearful (she had recent open spine surgery and has current spinal issues yet to be addressed... AND the medics just dropped her flat onto the concrete in the parking lot minutes prior) She was in the MRI tube for nearly 4 hours (is this even safe???) because her arms and legs were jerking so much. They even gave a sedative to help. SHE stopped the test because her face was starting to burn. The Rad tech told me they never got a chance to get clear images. She was in pain the entire stay due to lack of proper pain medication. I ordered her hospital records and there were several errors and this doctor was uber judgmental of my poor mother who has literally been through the wringer. Her medical records ultimately indicate a resident was delegated her case. I guess he was too important to be bothered. He did have time to order a drug screen though, it was clean of course. She called his office after discharge and requested an appointment and he refused to see her. She persisted and was sent to the voicemail of a staff manager whose voicemail was "not taking messages today." Mother has been having and continues to have significant neuro issues. No wonder, I will not be surprised to find the CT and MRI scans truly just inconclusive after not being able to hold still for that length of time. Now, my siblings and I are decent, educated people. Our mother is too. What caused this disdain and lack of professionalism from this doctor? What about the mismanagement and oversights in her chart? He doesn't read nursing notes? Where a nurse noted consistent weakness and tremors in her limbs, he found no indications of these. Again, writing in his records that her neuro responses were mixed, implying they were not to be trusted. So, he discharged her with no further neuro follow up. Seriously, WTF?? She now has an appointment elsewhere.
