List of Brent Bamberger's Reviews
Great overall experience
I got terrible care from a hospital in Lima after a severe wrist break. The X-ray showed none of my bones were connected & they had no surgeon available to operate. This was 8 am on a Friday. They did needless blood work, a chest X-Ray & told me I would have surgery at OIO in Lima at noon the following Mon. but I wasn’t in their system? I went to Dr. Brent, he read my X-Ray that Mon. I had surgery Tues AM & start PT Wed. Dr. Brent literally saved my wrist, I can do everything with it. Grateful!
Dr Bamberger is a wonderful surgeon and has always been kind and caring to me. His staff is efficient and professional. If you need a talented surgeon , Dr. Bamberger is the one to.
Wrecked my hand after surgery and only saw me once after surgery and then pushed me off on his PA who prescribed medication my health records clearly stated I cannot take. When I politely raised questions for the PA to review with me they cancelled my appointment. Then referred me to another hand surgeon whom I have yet to see and don’t know. The final kiss was they charged me $50 to get my medical records. I cannot use my hand and am in pain all the time. Very poor care. No follow up by doctor
I had a mass removed and Dr. B acted like what i wanted to have done would be no problem at all.. I didnt find out until after the surgery that he didnt do what he was supposed to do AT ALL!!! Now I have nasty scars and he honestly couldnt care less. Plus ever since the surgery my wait time at his office has gone from 10-15 minutes to over an hour. However, the nurses at southview were wonderful.
Dr Bamberger has been my physician for the last 5 years. I've suffered a fracture of my arm and had complications. He has operated on me 8 times I feel that he is done an excellent job helping me recover from other terrible fracture. I would recommend anyone that needs hand surgery to see doctor Bamberger.
Most memorable thing was going in for carpal tunnel surgery and leaving with little use of my right hand and my tight leg Amputated! South view Hospital is the worst place I've ever been in. I aw him before surgery and 3 mins at his office in Sidney after. We are from Greenville where he had an office across from our hospital. Never went yhere. While at Southview an attempt was made to intubate me and rhe tube was shoved down my esophagus causing me to almost bleed to death. I wouldn't recommend him for antthing but license rexmoval. No bedside manner at all.!
Dr Bamberger performed my carpal tunnel surgery. I least I think he did. I saw him briefly at my first visit to his office. First I saw his PA then he walked in said basically we're going to do it. Then I never saw the guy again always his assistant. I wouldn't be able to identify him in a line up. I call it my drive through surgery.
I had basal thumb surgery two years ago on my right hand for arthritis. Going back next month for the left hand. I had a great experience with Dr B and would recommend him to anyone in my family or otherwise. I took it upon myself to watch a utube video of the surgery before the first visit and he answered all questions to my satisfaction . I went to him at that time because I had seen him 10 years before for a trigger finger problem that I was having and he recommended therapy and a night splint that worked wonders.
I had carpal and cubical tunnel surgery and the doctor spent no more than 5 minutes with me. No bedside manners at all. I did t know what type of surgery I was having, regular or latroscopiic, and no one could tell me. I never saw dr Bamberger before or after the surgery. On my follow up he spent no more than one minute with me. The way he answered my question about the type of surgery was that he's been doing it like he did for 20 years and he wasn't about to change. I would NEVER go to this doctor again. I wonder now if I really needed the surgery after all. Incidentally the hospital and nursing staff were fabulous but they didn't understand why the doctor did not talk to me.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
