List of Chad Reed's Reviews
My husband and I brought our 14 year old son to see Dr. Reed immediately following a broken collarbone, due to a football injury. Dr. Reed is top notch! He listened to all of us, was quickly able to fit our son’s surgery in to his schedule, and has an incredible bedside manner. I would highly recommend Dr. Reed! We have be so happy with him from the beginning through following up with him.
Dr Reed is is just amazing!! I went to him for a labral tear in my hip. He explained everything in detail and performed a hip arthroscopy. After 6 months of pain, I felt no pain from the very moment I left the hospital!! He did such a great job.
I was in the office today and really wanted to leave the moment I saw his face. I could read he had no intention of listening to anything I needed or said! Totally circus of doctors at Kettering Medical Center! Worthless ortho groups. Changed meds to arthritis meds after I left. Only called in an anti inflammatory. I don’t want pain meds or therapy I have an issue that therapy and anti inflammatory meds will not help. Move your arm here, there, there and then ok it’s this.....BS! i wouldn’t take a dead dog to Kettering!
I went to Dr. Reed with a broken ankle. This was probably the most stressful doctor's visit I've ever had. He recommended surgery and seemed to expect me to decide immediately with very little information. He did not look at the x-ray with me (though he said in his report that he did) or explain much about the surgery. He seemed to try to be patient with my questions, but he was clearly not. In his report, which I obtained later, he said the fracture was "mildly displaced" and that he reviewed the x-rays with me. At the hospital, they had said it was NOT displaced. After stressing for 2 days and then getting a second opinion from the Cleveland Clinic (who also said it was not displaced), I decided not to have the surgery. Instead, I was put in a boot (instead of a cast, which Dr. Reed said was the only alternative) and now I am able to put weight on it, and everything is healing fine. I am extremely happy that I did not have the surgery. Dr. Reed may be a fine surgeon, but if he recommends surgery, ask a LOT of questions, and get a second opinion!
I'm 6 months post up from my hip replacement and I couldn't be more pleased! So happy with Dr. Reed and his staff!! Highly recommend! 5 stars!
Dr. Reed did excellant work on my hip replacement. No complications whatsoever. After 1 year new hip is like nothing was ever wrong with it. He is very personable and answered all my questions. I will definitely go back to him if I have any orthopedic issues in the future.
Dr Reed and the staff are helpful, caring, and knowledgeable. Always friendly. I would and have recommended Dr Reed to all my friends.
I am a patient of Dr. Reed in Dayton, OH. He performed surgery on both of my knees. He is professional and actually has a bedside manner. He explained all of my options for treatment of my knees both surgically and non-surgically. There was plenty of time for questions and he answered all of my and my husband's questions to our satisfaction. He set forth what his and my role was to be and what to expect from a major surgery. Dr. Reed also covered what could potentially delay my surgery and/or recovery and the treatment options for these potential situations along with education on how to best avoid complications. I felt safe when I had my surgeries because of him and his team.
Dr. Reed performed both of my total knee replacements. He was clear and concise with his explanation of what the procedure, methodology, and his role as well as what my role in the surgery and recovery phase was to be. He listened to my concerns and answered all of my and my husband's questions. This behavior has continued from pre to post operative. I am a nurse by background and this man knew his business with an added bonus that he has a bedside manner. When doing my background check on him before deciding to choose him as my surgeon of choice I had the honor to speak with some of the ortho nurses who work in the acute hospital and have taken care of his patients. The nurses that I spoke with spoke highly of him and told me that his patients were given the best of care and treatment from him.
I received a total left hip replacement 5-23-2017. CHAD REED, DO, formerly of Reid Health in Richmond, IN, was my surgeon. He is highly skilled! He has an excellent bedside manner, explains procedures very well & follows up thoroughly with his patient's. I am very greatful he was my surgeon. His patient's aren't just a patient to him. He has a zero post-surgery infection rate. You can barely see my surgical scar. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR CHAD REED! Thank you Dr. REED, you're the BEST!
