Dr. Prueter is the most disrespectful physician I have met. After having strep throat 6 times in one year, I was referred to an ENT. Prueter was rushed and dismissed my concerns saying "well a tonsillectomy recovery is much worse than your slight sore throat inconvenience" after glancing at my tonsils for half a second. I now know that I am at an increased risk for glomerulonephritis every time I get strep throat. I am SHOCKED that I was dismissed so quickly, and that my doctor made me feel so dumb. He failed to do his job of fully educating me and made me feel as if I was below him. He also cleaned out my ears WITHOUT asking me if he could, and I got charged an extra fee. He was judgmental saying, "wow, you use q-tips don't you" as he was cleaning out my ears. I asked for alternatives to which he said "ya, come in to see me". I cannot afford to pay $100+ to get my ears to cleaned out. Avoid Dr. Prueter. NO ONE deserves to be spoken down to, especially not from their doctor.

Had surgery with another physician in practice and had to call the on call line after hours. Dr Prueter was on call and walked me through what to do and eased my concerns. If he was this caring about a patient that isn’t even his and called after hours, I can only imagine that he is great with his patients as well.

Not thorough. I had 3 visits to address dizziness, the last 2 which were a complete waste of time. Got no help. Poor diagnostic skills.

Without any reserve or hesitation I would like to commend and praise Dr. James C. Prueter and his audiologist and staff not only for their outstanding medical knowledge but for their caring,attentiveness and follow-up. I called HillCREST They remembered me from years before. They adjusted my hearing aid. Said to see Dr. Prueter, (They also did not charge me!) Dr. Prueter saw me very soon' after. His entire office was so caring and attentive. His remarkable audiologist got a special device so I could hear her. He explained cochlear implant and was not truthful what I was told. He suggested and contacted my “main” Dr. with hearing, and also tests he took. I will get newest hearing aids, which I will “hear” and a cochlear implant WILL work if needed. Few people and not all physicians have this sensitivity, respect for his colleagues to share his views and to anticipate my “new life” to hear again. We hear the words “act of God” mainly words. My experience to find Dr. Prueter truly is!
