Dr. Barnes was my anesthesiologist. Once the anesthesia was started, I experienced an inability to get sufficient air into my lungs and my throat, lips and tongue were paralyzed. I don't think that this was Dr. Barnes' fault. But she completely failed to note my unusual response in my medical record. My surgeon had no idea that I had experienced difficulty with the anesthesia. Future anesthesiologists will have no way of finding out what produced my unusual reaction. She wrote down nothing.

When Dr. Barnes administered my anesthesia I was unable to get sufficient air into my lungs and my throat, lips and tongue were paralyzed. She failed to notify my surgeon of my unusual reactions to the anesthesia and he operated on me in complete ignorance of this fact. Future anesthesiologists will have no way of knowing what caused my reaction because she failed to note any of it in my medical record, and only discussed it with me when she discovered that I remembered the incident.
