List of Nathan Melton's Reviews
Very rushed. Repaired a shoulder injury 4 years ago and was a completely different (great) experience. Paperwork re: meds, hx, etc requested at check in was with me throughout the entire appointment and no one asked for it or reviewed it. Why ask patients to complete if not reviewed prior or during physician examination?
Dr. Melton and his staff met and exceeded all my expectations resulting in successful shoulder rotator cuff surgery. Six weeks after the operation, I'm experiencing no pain and doing very well in physical therapy. I strongly recommend Dr. Melton.
Dr Nathan Melton and his staff were professional, timely and upbeat - it’s obvious they enjoy their work! My wife (Feb 20) and I (Oct 20) each had one knee replaced by Dr Melton at Grandview Hospital. Our pre-op visits were informative, Dr Melton outlined the entire process and explained what we could expect before and after surgery. We are both very pleased with outcome! He installed the “Conformis knee implant” which is custom made for each individual at MIT in Boston. My wife has Conformis ‘version 2’ and I have the newer ‘version 3’. Recovery was quicker than expected - wife went to her 10 day post-op checkup utilizing a cane, which she barely needed. I’m admittedly somewhat of a fitness enthusiast - walked into my 10 post-op without assistance and No Limping! Pre and post-surgery exercises are very important and certainly aided our quick recovery. We are both walking our very hilly 3 mile neighborhood route painlessly. Dr Melton and his team are outstanding!
Knee replacement was terrible, follow up surgery a total waste of TIME!!!
Staff gives misinformation constantly and as far as doctor does not listen to concerns. Feel as though he is just there for the money
Dr.Melton is the clean up doctor,he has done several surgeries on me and has done a excellent job and has excellent after care,Ms.Linda is a heavenly Angel that helps you with your concerns and as a Senior Bishop, I Bless the both of them in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen, Senior Teaching Bishop Gerald Armstrong lll
Dr. Melton was the team doctor for the Kansas City soccer team so I chose him because of that. He did an arch reconstruction including moving my heel and repositioning tendons. I spent 12 week non-weight bearing. When I asked about physical therapy (I was 66 at the time) he said that he didn't think it was necessary. I came back monthly for over 6 months because of significant pain. He did not know what was causing the pain. I went to a different doctor who immediately recognized that my adhesions (due to lack of physical therapy) had encapsulated my sural nerve. He was able to fix it very capably. Beware of a doctor who specializes in young, strong, men. They are not able to relate to older patients.
I had a Rotator cuff tear, bone spurs and he reattached by bicep. at 11 1/2 weeks I have full mobility and no restrictions. I could not have a had a better surgeon to repair my shoulder!
Amazing doctor/surgeon he is great to his patients and great surgeon he did two surgerys on me and two on my husband you can barely see my scares and my husband had his shoulder done and his scare looks great.
I asked when I made my apt if the doctor had Residents/PA's/NP's and was told no. I indeed saw a NP who did my assessment and was never asked if this was ok. I was not impressed with the assessment. After she left, they both came back in and he spent 5 minutes with me. They both obviously did not want to be there or listen to anything I had to say. I paid to see the doctor, not a NP. In addition, I left with no written discharge instructions. Will not be back.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
