Very poor patient communications. Never explains why he is making the recommendations he makes. Is not conscientious with very little follow up on patients' ongoing problems. Wish he would retire.

Dr. Stein may be a good doctor but the appointments I had I felt he ignored some of my issues. No one is ever in the waiting room and his equipment is not up to date. Even though no one has been in the waiting room when I was there when you call they will put you on hold for a long time. He is not on any of the services where other doctors can see reports or information. There is NO covering doctor is he is not there and that makes it hard to get an appointment if you need one soon.

The above post is not the same Dr. Alvin Stein. It is for a pain specialist out of Florida. This Dr. Alvin Stein is an Internist and Geriatric specialist in Dayton Ohio. I have just started to see him, but he has been highly recommended by a very trusted physician.
