List of Humam Akbik's Reviews
Called on Thursday morning and left a message. Then called Monday. And left a message. They called me Monday morning to cancel my appointment for Tuesday and pushed it out to next Tuesday. I told her the problem and she said the doctor would look at my chart. Then hung up on me. That is when I called back Monday afternoon and told them I was out of medicine left message no call back. Went there Wednesday to cancel my contract. They did not ask why in a out in 5 minutes. Don't go there very disrespectful.
I’ve never reviewed a doctor but : my appointment was at 10:15 and I arrived at 10:00. The receptionist gave me a pile of paperwork to fill out-fine. At around 10:30 a nurse took me to a room and did a complete medical history, tested my leg strength etc- all fine. Around 11:25 she was done and said the doctor would be right in. I could hear laughing coming from another room. I sat and waited and waited . At 11:57 I decided I would walk out at noon. At 11:58 the door opened and he walked in with a large black Lab type dog and said “this is my assistant.” I was shocked but … he sat at the computer typing , never looking at me. Asked me to stand and point to where my back hurt. I sat back down and he mumbled “ok mmmm back Injection ‘mmmcall your Insurance mm” stood up and walked out . I was in my car at 12:04. 6 whole minutes or less!!! And he sent a bill for over $400. I don’t know for what since my co-pay according to my insurance is $35. I got no explanation as to where the shot went, what it was, any complications or problems possible . Nothing . I haven’t answered their calls telling me to come back . Not a chance
Dr Akibik has done 3 of my 4 SCS surgeries. Not a single complication from any of them. The one time I used a different surgeon (simply due to driving distances), I had to have the surgery redone. I let Akbik do the repair and no further issues. Also, for many years, Dr Akbik was only my surgeon. A closer doctor did my routine pain meds. When that doctor abruptly retired with no warning, Dr Akbik just nodded in understanding and took over prescribing all my pain meds. He saved me so much agony trying to find a new doctor. It’s worth the 55 minute drive to get to the clinic to see him!
We tried to make appointment for a month, no calls return!!! I been reading reviews I will not be coming there!!!
First time I've ever reviewed a physician. So dissatisfied with my experience bringing an elderly relative here for a consultation for pain management. The office staff were rude and quite unprofessional. The exam room was visibly dirty and reeked of cigarette smoke. They had my relative do a urine sample and walk it out of the restroom and put it on the receptionist counter where other patients were being scheduled. Within minutes of us exiting the exam room, while still standing in the hallway, staff took another patient in the same room without changing the paper on the exam table or sanitizing it in anyway. So many red flags. Too many to name. I asked for written information about a procedure the doctor was considering. I was told they were all out of the brochures and had nothing to offer. I was also told they would call to schedule a pain injection in two or three days and they went ahead and scheduled the follow up appointment for six weeks out. That was two weeks ago. They never called to make the injection appointment. Stacey, the nurse practitioner, was kind and knowledgeable, but unfortunately, due to the overall experience, we won't be returning.
Excellent service.
I took my mother to Dr. Akbik many, many times for all sorts of treatments for her back pain. He gave her pills, patches, and spinals. Nothing he did offered any relief. So, we did not return to his office.
Very Happy here!
Excellent
First time I have ever been to a dirty doctors office. Looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months dust on exam tables and the waiting room. Great doctor but come on for what you charge hire someone to clean the place.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
