Wow, I just cant believe the things that are being said about Dr. Cooper he is by far the best addiction doctor I have ever been to, he gives people chances that don't deserve it, he's loyal he's honest he doesn't rat you out to the cops even with you and the cop right there he says sorry its doctor patient, as an addict that is all High characters that are very important when it comes to anybody also very appreciated. No other doctor would do that they think about there self but not him. he's always concerned about my well-being how I'm coping how I'm feeling. I've been with Dr Cooper for wow I don't even know 14 years maybe I've been on methadone that whole time, I've been clean now for 9 years and I choose to stay on it because I have an addictive personality I am an addict. I don't have a family doctor and he plays that role also any test that I asked that I want he gets for me he's just amazing. he makes my life so much easier as an addict I have a hard time trusting people he is not one of those people I trust him fully. yeah he has money he's a genius yeah he got money from his parents sorry that your parents weren't well off. that's not his fault his parents were smart Geniuses too. he has businesses because he's smart he's a lawyer he's been to law school and finished, he is a very smart man and I'm sorry that we're addicts and we're not capable of making that kind of money. we never went to school we've never got a good education to have a great job, but that's not his fault that's our fault our family's fault. For you all to come and dog someone because they're doing well in life just shows how low of a person you are. it's no one's fault but the person that is the addicted person. now just because a doctor is a lot smarter and has a lot of money doesn't mean it's okay for you to bad mouth him. when you're having a bad day you just want to talk bad about somebody, because you have no life if you had a life you'd be quitting drugs going back to school getting a job so you can be as smart as he is. I love and respect you as a doctor and a person Dr Cooper thank you for all you've done for me and so many others.
Wonderful compassionate clinician
I only wish Dr. Cooper could be my PCP! I met him once at the CFC and he made me feel more comfortable than I think any physician ever has. I felt totally human and totally heard. Not treated like I was just some number on a chart or specimen on a table (as do many medical professionals treat people these days). Thank you, Dr. Cooper! You are awesome 🙂
Dr. Cooper had been pushing his poison on our father for Twenty Five Years this year. The medical malpractice clinics run under his authority are nothing more than trap houses with operating hours….
This guy Dr. Cooper is a clown who brags about how much money he has inherited. Don't forget that patients with addiction and chronic pain are generally not that well off. Perhaps, he should get into plastic surgery and brag to those patients. Dr. Koifman at 425 West Street North is much better for many, many reasons. The downtown dispensary is also in it for the money. I tried them too. You never see a doctor in person and they are up to something that is no good. I can't yet figure out what it is, but they are scamming methadone. I wonder who is taking the extra methadone that is being written, but not given to the patient. I will find out, but wouldn't be surprised if it's not being sold by the pharmacy. Terrible!!!!
This guy can spell money faster than you can blink. That's his only concern. He brags about how successful he is and that he has recently inherited a fortune from his parents. Don't forget that he is sharing this info with patients who are struggling with addiction to pain killers and have absolutely no money and have or are on the verge of losing their kids, their job and essentially their life. Dr. Cooper needs to remember his audience. If he wants to be arrogant then that's fine, but he has to find a more appropriate group to brag to. He doesn't have a clue what the average person with addiction goes through and doesn't have a care in the world to find out. He should get into the business world and out of medicine. I'm surprised that the CPSO (governing body that oversees doctors) hasn't been contacted. It's a shame to leave this loose cannon out there to "try" and help our vulnerable population. He needs a dose of reality. Sorry....but it's true. It's the summer and he doesn't even care enough about his patients to drive into the clinic and see them in person instead of over a screen. I would understand this if this was winter and he didn't want to risk his life driving on the 400 highway risking his life. A dose of humility is in store. I have no idea how he is able to sit on all the boards he brags about. If they only new the true Dr. Cooper they would have his sorry ass out the front door.
Never see this person. He is the worst dr. With terrible service and absolutely no morals. He’s in it for one thing. Money. Cares about no one.
I have been seeing Dr Cooper for the last 4 years and he has changed my life. I am back with my family and off of drugs. If it weren't for him, I would be living on the street. I look forward to seeing him again in person.
I saw this so called doctor on a computer screen. I strongly feel that seeing an MD in person is superior to seeing an MD on a screen. It's just not the same experience. The doctor doesn't even remember our last visit which occurred 1 week prior. His model is simple: get patients in and out as quickly as possible. Quality of patient care is a far second. I STRONGLY recommend that you find another clinic in Orillia that see's patients in person. The doctor will get to know you better and a strong connection improves the likelyhood of buying into the doctors advice. At Dr. Cooper's clinic you are just a number. He doesn't care about you and only your OHIP card so he bill and make hundred's of thousand's of dollars every year. I briefly saw an MD at Fitton's pharmacy, but ran into Dr. Cooper at a funeral and he approached me and asked me to come back. I am a people person and wanted to be liked so I made the switch. I regret that decision. I am now back to seeing my old methadone MD at Fitton's pharmacy and couldn't be bothered. There address is 425 west street north and the doctor REALLY CARES! He takes his time, asks questions and generally shows that he's interested in me and my medical problems. He views addiction as a disease where Dr. Cooper treats us as drug addicts which isn't helpful. It lowers your confidence decreases the likelihood of achieving sobriety. Dr. Cooper is not all bad, but his interest is to bill as much as possible and is not working to get the
The worst care I have ever received. The clinic is a zoo with drug deals going on inside the waiting room and everywhere outside the clinic. Impossible to get clean when drugs are everywhere. Dr. Cooper knows this (I and many other patients have told him), but doesn't care. He ignores it and pretends it's not there. I would go to another clinic that is out of the downtown core. 425 West Street North inside the Fitton's Pharmacy is a much better option. I was Dr. Cooper's patient, but not anymore. This new clinic is clean, the staff are firm, but nice, no drug use or dealing going on in the clinic or parking lot. The staff all work together to help you get/stay clean. The concern is with getting the patient better....healthier... and not just billing a code so you can paid. For heaven's sake, I would like to see a doctor in person once in a while. Over at Fitton's Pharmacy the doctor is always there, in person believe it or not. That clinic isn't perfect either, but compared to the other two downtown Orillia clinics it's head and shoulders above those two options. This is your life friends. Take control of it by first getting a doctor that cares in an environment that increases the odds of being clean. Good luck. This is serious.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process.
