Dr. Ramaswamy has been my husband’s kidney specialist for over 20 yrs. & he has always stayed on top of his condition, provided us with valuable information regarding the importance of limiting dietary sodium, avoiding IV contrast dyes, ibuprofen & other NSAIDS & the important role of controlling blood sugar levels & blood pressure to avoid further kidney damage & delay possible dialysis. He is an excellent clinician & a compassionate person. He stays on top of abnormal test results & always allows time for questions.

A Very pleasant facility. Office people and the Dr. Ramaswamy...Made sure I Had Everything I needed for my Visits. Some doctors, Dont explain what is Going on with you + Your health -- I left the office, With an better understanding....

I went to this doctor for 10 years because he was respected by other doctors and had a reputation as being the best in the city at that time. He always tried to intimidate me with a critical attitude. After I started coming in with my husband who also needed a kidney doctor, he dropped the attitude. After my husband died, he got worse. The last two times I was there he was having fun at my expense by making cracks to the women who worked in his office about me as I was leaving and I had them laughing. The first time he did this, I wasn't sure he was talking about me. The second time I knew he was. He had me coming into his office 3 or 4 times a year, then twice a year. Once I missed an appointment so I had to come back twice to make up for it, he said. He said I was in the second state of kidney disease. After I left his practice and got a new , younger, and nicer doctor, I found out I am only in Stage One of kidney disease. Ramaswamy would not transfer my records to the new doctor and I had to have a kidney biopsy from which I almost bled to death. I was in Riverside Hospital for 3 days due to loss of blood. His is plain and simply an arrogant doctor and if you are a woman reading this, stay clear of this doctor. He does not respect women. I am white. On day I came into his office for an appointment and I had to step aside to let a tall black woman go by. She didn't stop by the window to make another appointment, she was angry. He wasn't a drug company rep either. He was probably a new patient who got a big dose of his arrogance. He never gave me a drug that helped me either. I got my blood pressure meds from my primary care doctor. He did prescribe an ancient drug that I got a rash from. I'm so happy with my new doctor. He explains everything, manages my complicated BP problems, said I am in stage one, and I only have to see him once a year. Ramaswamy wasn't having me come in all the time because I was on Medicare because I wasn't retired back then. I worked for the State of Ohio and my insurance paid him well. This site will probably delete this because my experience with him isn't recent, but they should not, because he was incompetent and crooked back then and he still is, if he can get away with it.

I went to him for 10 years. He acted like he couldn't find information on me in his file almost every time I was in his office. . Was always critical of me if I changed primary care doctors. I did not always leave them. They moved out of state, and/or retired. Did not treat me with respect unless I was with my husband. I finally had it when I heard him making fun of me to his staff. He had me coming to the office too often, and said I was in Stage 2, when it was really Stage 1
