List of Ruth Chan's Reviews
She takes the time to thoroughly assess you before developing a plan of action. She cares about your needs.
I’ve only seen her twice now. That being said, she’s shown that she truly cares about my health. Very professional and don’t rush you. I’ve suffered from back pain for over 10 years and she’s not afraid to actually touch your back to help figure out the issue. I see a pain Dr that typically don’t even do this. She’s checked things on me that most haven’t. Very impressed with her and can’t say enough good thing’s about her. Highly recommend.
I do not know why she has all 5 STARS on another site, post the 1 stars too. Dr. Chan was very rude to me, I'm not going back.
Ruth Chan is the most thorough, considerate and exceptionally fine Doctors I've ever had the pleasure knowing. She's all that and a bag of chips‼️ 💕
Dr. Chan is AMAZING! She is so caring and explains everything to you so you understand. She takes time to evaluate, and thoroughly go over all of your questions and conditions. She is so caring and patient. I cannot say enough good things about her and my experience having her as my doctor. I am so sad that Mount Carmel got rid of the rheumatology department, and I will seek out Dr. Chan if she ...
She is so very kind. When I went to her I was in great pain, and she helped me lessen my pain to where it was tolerable with medication. I hope she will be my doctor for a very long time. She has a fantastic personality and makes you feel very comfortable.
Dr. Chan spent the time with me to explore my concerns, and has followed up with me, unsolicited, to confirm whether the treatment is beneficial and whether to try something else. Very conscientious.
She is the best Dr ever. I couldn’t believe that Mount Carmel got rid of Rheumotology. OSU said that they are hiring and would hire her in a second. I would love to be her patient again
Incredibly kind, generous, and competent. Ruth Chan has to be the best doctor I've ever had. She saw me back in 2016-2017 in Reno, NV. She was incredibly thorough, compassionate, and helpful. I was moving to Budapest for grad school, and she gave me a bunch of detailed paperwork explaining my undifferentiated connective tissue disease diagnosis. She also corresponded with me online when I needed her opinion as a specialist. Sadly, since she left, I was unable to re-establish care and only just got to see a new practitioner December 7, 2021. My disease has gotten a lot worse, and possibly differentiated into something else, and I've been horribly discouraged about not being able to make necessary appointments or follow up for care amidst being disabled by my condtion. I reached out to Dr. Chan's office to see if I could talk to her about what to do/if she had any advice since I've been suffering so much. I expected that, if I was incredibly lucky, maybe I could send her a quick email. Not only did her medical assistant talk to me, but you know what Dr. Chan did? She spent 45 min on the phone with me for free. What an incredible gift. She was encouraging, gave me some ideas, contextualized some things, and tried to help me which is incredibly refreshing since I feel like I've constantly had to fight for basic healthcare on medicaid/not been able to even get appointments and spent whole days chasing referrals in Nevada. I see my new rheumatologist for the second time April 5th, and I feel a lot more prepared now. THANK YOU DR. CHAN! I am so glad you're a doctor and doing the work you do.
I highly recommend Dr. Chan. She and her assistant are very caring and responsive. She provides personal attention to your needs. She also takes special care to listen and follows up on your treatment.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
