Jamestown Place Health and Rehab is an AMAZING Community. The care is wonderful as is the staff! I highly recommend!

Nurses are incompetent at handling patients meds, which caused my mom to end up back in the hospital.The building is not cleaned properly.The staff isn't afraid to gossip to patients about other patients. I know how my mom was treated when someone was by her side 24/7.. I can only imagine how they are treating the people who does not have someone to stand up for them.

This is the worst facility, they should be shut down. REALLY do your research before you consider placing a loved one here. The only compassionate and educated staff members are Nikki and Nathan. Critical medication was always getting skipped. Sherry, Paula and Tina didn’t seem to comprehend what a scheduled medication is. They would give medicine 4+ hours after it was due. When reminded about the importance of said medication there was always attitude given because “they know.” I got into an argument with Sherry regarding the importance of the medicine. She gave morning dose almost 5 hours late then tried to give the next dose 4 hours earlier than it was due. We could have had an adult conversation about it, but she wanted to raise her voice and become argumentative. Paula nearly let my mom die because my mom couldn’t breathe. She threw her hands up and stated “I don’t know what you want me to do!” My mom demanded for her to call 911. She was taken by squad to the nearest emergency room and placed on 10L of oxygen! After this incident we refused to allow her to go back. Tina didn’t care about violating any HIPAA regulations. She would come into my mothers room and talk or make fun of other residents. Aside from the staff being incompetent and uneducated, the facility was disgusting! The whole place smells like urine. We addressed the cleanliness several times but were repeatedly given the same excuse. “A third party cleaning service comes in to clean, we’re trying to get them fired.” We had to bring in our own cleaning supplies to make it tolerable. The cleaning service doesn’t touch the shower rooms. I’ve seen wet dirty towels and piles of feces lay on the shower room floor from early morning until late at night. The toilet in the shower room was clogged for several days, they just kept the door shut to ignore the problem. The shower chairs are falling apart. The potty chairs were covered in rust. Concentrates are never cleaned. I’ve attached a picture of the concentrator filter. My mom was served the same exact meal for lunch and dinner for a few days in a row. No alternatives were available. My family was uncomfortable with the “care” my mom was receiving, so we started staying with her 24/7. I spoke mildly with the director of nursing Juanita Snook regarding a few medication issues. My whole family addressed every complaint with Christy Strunk, she really didn’t care. None of our concerns were ever addressed.

My mother-in-law was in Jamestown Place for rehab and she had a good experience there. The staff were kind and she said the food was delicious. The rehab staff were excellent.
