Dr. Dunaway has been my husband's and my orthopedic doctor for years. We absolutely love him. He has the best bedside manner, a great sense of humor, and knows his business. He and his staff are always very professional. Key to full recovery is to follow his and PT instructions and do your exercises.

I would not recommend Dr Dunaway. I had hip replacement a year ago and am in pain constantly and need a cane for walking. After surgery I was placed in Intensive Care for two weeks which resulted prolong two month stay. Follow up after three months with Dr Dunway resulted in little information on the pain and limp . Other doctors have concluded that my leg is 1/2inch shorter and need an insert in my shoes. Dr Dunway was only concerned with the implant not the problems from the surgery. My only contact with him was prior to surgery for a few minutes, never saw him afterwards. I would never use Dr Dunway again or recommend him.

Dr Dunaway did my left total knee October 17, 2019. He is fabulous!! The Kettering Medical Center is TOP NOTCH. I had a great experience. Have had little pain. 11 days out now using cane. He uses conformis which takes 3d image thus your knee is built to the dimensions of your own knee. I highly recommend him

After sending numerous friends to Dr. Dunaway after he did my husband's knee replacement, it was time to have mine done. I came out of surgery with a crooked leg, which only got worse over time, causing issues with my foot/ankle. The brotherhood of Dayton orthopedists wouldn't see me for a second opinion, so I had to go to OSU, where it was determined that he left my medial ligament too long, making the joint very unstable, hence crooked when standing. I am now in a bulky brace to alleviate the pain. I didn't go through this surgery to end up in a brace! Even after very visible evidence that the leg is crooked and multiple questioning, he refuses to admit the error or even the problem exists. Needless to say I am very disappointed and have lost all respect for this doctor that I referred to many friends too.

Wonderful bed side manner. Had a partial knee replaced and a total inserted in 2015. Have had continuous pain even after arthoscopic and injection. Pain after surgery was 10+, and is continuing at sometimes a 7. Did this surgery to be able to walk without discomfort, and that is not possible. Very disappointed with these results.

Experienced I think an unusual amount of pain after the surgery to take out a partial and put in a total. Still in pain after 3 years. Have had an arthoscopic procedure and injection to no avail. Doctor has an excellent bed side manner, but I am not satisfied with the outcome of this surgery and follow up attempts to alleviate this pain. Wanted to be able to walk for exercise without such pain, and am unable to for more than a short time. Very disappointed.

Very professional. Always suggest what is best for individual patient. Dr. Dunaway has been my orthopedic surgeon since 2001. I wouldn't trust anyone else. I highly recommend him and would never allow anyone else to operate on my knees.

Dr Dunaway has done two knee replacements and several ligament tears for me. I trust him so much, he also did surgery on my son. He is caring and compassionate. Can't imagine letting anyone else do my surgery.
