Dr. Mauer is patient and attentive. His understanding of my complex medical status and the ability to discuss in layman's terms really set me at ease. Dr Mauer managed the appointment time, taking notes and reviewing past records in a meticulus approach so that nothing was left out. His staff are what I would expect in a professional setting. The staff are helpful, have a great disposition, especially for being tasked with their line of work day after day. They answered questions immediately with no harshness what so ever. I changed to Dr. Mauer specifically because my prior MD's office dropped the ball (no follow up / follow through) time after time. I highly recommend Dr John Mauer, MD

Dr. Mauer is patient and attentive. I recommend if you are looking for a new MD that you give him an opportunity. Reading one other review that dings him for the office staff supporting him; that review is not fair, and from my experience inaccurate. I changed to Dr. Mauer specifically because my prior MD's office dropped the ball (no follow up / follow through) time after time. I've had no negative experience with his office.

I hate dealing with the office staff here. Either my wife or myself has had to deal with some billing issue where they have coded it incorrectly and are slow and unresponsive (not to mention rude) fixing it. We are currently dealing with a $320 bill for a shingles shot that was never administered. We went in for something unrelated and explicitly discussed coding and billing as to avoid yet another issue to no avail. This is not a single occurrence either. We continue to deal with billing issues with them. When you call in it feels as though you are an irritation who can just wait. This staff does not belong in a professional medical organization, they belong in a fast food establishment. Save yourself the time and find a different doctor's office.
