Malek MOHAMAD Safa's Online Review Report Card

My father was admitted to Miami Valley Hospital and was diagnosed by them with bladder and lung cancer again. He wanted a second opinion by his long time oncologist, Malek Safa. Malek Safa refused to transfer from Miami Valley to Kettering for his opinion. The doctors at MiamiValley were dumfounded that Malek Safa did not call me to discuss. They were compassionate. Malek Safa could have cared less. If you want your loved one to be taken care of, DO NOT SEE MALEK SALFA. He could care less…unless your loved one has many days of insurance paid to Malek Safa. If your loved one is nearing end of life, DO NOT SEEK ADVICE OR MEDICAL CAR FROM MALEK SAFA. He could care less. Here’s to you Malek Safa…SHAME ON YOU.

He seems like a good guy but I but I asked him where my cancer would spread if it did. He told me my female organs. I have since gone to another oncologist who confirmed that is not the case...brain, bones and lungs are the correct answer. Additionally I asked if what he's looking for in the blood tests...anemia. While that might be a side affect of my pills, there are markers that could give an early warning about cancer spreading. He did not do those tests...he didn't even mention it to me. Be warned!

Doctor Safa doesn't understand where metastatic Breast cancer appears. He told me it might spread to the female organs but in reality it is the brain the lungs and the brain belongs to the bones. He also stated that the blood work he requested was to see if I was anemic. I guess that might be a side effect of the drugs I'm on. He never tested me for markers that can and potentially show if cancer ...

With the exception of the initial appointment, every single appointment was rushed, he never felt obligated to explain my father’s medical conditions or test results, and I don’t think he genuinely cared about how sick my father was. I’m sure he has extensive knowledge about cancer, but he does not have appropriate bedside manner— especially for someone who is facing cancer. If you want someone who ...

I’m sure he has extensive knowledge about cancer, but he does not have appropriate bedside manner— especially for someone who is facing cancer. If you want someone who will spend no more than 5 minutes per appointment in order to quickly tell you your diagnosis & medical issues, nonchalantly tell you to see specialists to address your life-threatening side effects, and then immediately send you upstairs to receive your cancer treatment, then you’ll be completely fine with him. If you want more than that, please choose a different oncologist.

Dr. Safa refuses to sign his patient's death certificate probably because he does not know his patients well enough to take care of them. He must think, or he knows he missed something. I feel this is total incompetence.

Doctors Safa and Hale were the best possible caregivers I could have received. I never felt as I was in danger and together we kicked my cancers butt!!!

Dr Safa saved my life. Severe anemic issues. I am grateful, I have Dr Safa and Dr Shah as my Drs at Kettering Hospital.
