Thomas J. Graham's Online Review Report Card

I was suffering greatly from arthritis in my pinky and thumb. Swelling and pain was unbearable. Was not able to bend my pinky at all. Cortisone shots no longer worked. Gave up on the doctors in my area as no one had experience in joint replacements in the fingers. Dr. Graham said he had done hundreds over the years and I had the utmost confidence in him. He did the joint replacement in my pinky and fused my thumb. I can now write again and the pain and swelling is all gone. My finger is about 80-90% better. I can get it to bend all the way to touch my palm after exercising it a bit. Dr. Graham is no longer at NYU Langone and they would not tell me where he went. Possibly practiback in his hometown in Ohio.

Dr. Thomas Graham diagnosed and operated on my torn hand tendon in late 2018. He was extremely accommodating in fitting me in to his busy schedule. He managed my rehab in the following weeks and I was able to return quite quickly to all activities, including sports, with no loss of motion or strength. He is just superlative as a person, surgeon, teacher and caring physician.

The second one was very good also

Dr. Graham is an extremely competent & experienced hand specialist. I went to see him regarding an ulnar side wrist issue. Dr. Graham took the time to explain in detail all the issues surrounding my condition & an appropriate course of action. He was NOT rushing to do surgery. I can not recommend him enough. If you are experiencing any wrist issue he is the one to see.

I would absolutely recommend him. I went into the office thinking I might have an aneurism in my wrist. I was so so upset. I left the office relived and very happy I went to him for a 2nd opinion.

I can't say enough positives about Dr. Graham. My son received a severe hand / wrist shoulder injury while mountain climbing. His wrist was about as close to being severed as you can get. He was diagnoses as 9 of 10 in terms of severity.Dr. Graham immediately got him into one of four surgeries. After a year of recovery and therapy he has returned to work as a law enforcement officer with full use of his hand and shoulder. The outcomes from Dr. Graham are astounding!! Don't expect a lot of TLC just honest and straightforward exception medicine.

Probably very capable but support staff lacks interest [except NP and therapists who are great]. Question Dr. Grahams' interests except in his ego. Hard to tell if his diagnosis is correct or if he does not care enough for his patient's recovery or needs. Likely good surgeon although results leave question.

Dr. Graham is the head of the Curtis Hand Center at Union Memorial Hospital. I saw him for broken fingers, and torn tendons, bone chip, and TFCC tear in my wrist. He misdiagnosed my injures in a matter of the 30 seconds of his time I had with him in the lobby. If I had a more severe injury, then I would have had his attention. He is only interested in maintaining his popularity among celebrities, and making lots of money. Forget patient care. If you are an average joe like me, I would recommend going to see someone else. You will receive much better care and treatment. His personality is that of a snail. I have no idea of how that man got the job heading up a department. I just shake my head. I had surgery, and went to another hospital and surgeon all together. Graham just gave me that bad of a taste of what to expect.
