Earl Haley's Online Review Report Card

When my husband went to see Dr Haley about back pain - he has two blown discs - Dr Haley performed the most cursory of exams, told my husband that he himself has "a bad back," so he "knows what it feels like," and sent him on his way with instructions to take aspirin as needed. Now, my husband is as tough as they come, and though he deals with chronic back pain every day of his life, he works a physically taxing job. A few times a year, when he twists the wrong way, or bends too quickly, or the wind blows, the disc material between those two vertebrae shifts to press against the nerves running the length of the spinal cord. When it happens, it takes my big, strong husband to his knees because it is so incredibly painful. Because we've dealt with the issue many times over the last 10 years, we know that a round of oral steroids will relieve the swelling of muscle tissue around the discs, and that Tramadol (a prescription Motrin) and Flexeril (a muscle relaxer) will provide temporary pain relief until the steroids do their job. My husband wasn't asking for addictive drugs or opiates or anything - just those drugs that he KNOWS will correct the problem. I called the office and demanded to speak with Dr Haley, but he refused my call. I explained the situation to the receptionist and asked her to let Dr Haley know that I expected those three 'scripts to be called in for my husband RIGHT AWAY. The spineless jerk DID then call in the prescriptions, but didn't notify us that he had, so my husband needlessly spent another sleepless night in agony. The next time his back went out, my husband went straight to Urgent Care, bypassing the useless Dr Haley altogether. He was treated with compassion and prescribed both steroids and pain relievers without having to ask, let alone beg. Needless to say, we're in the market for a new primary care physician.

Dr Haley would not even see me for an infection but instead over the phone told me to go to the urgent care. I later had to end up going to the ER, and was told to see my primary care doctor in 2 days to make sure things were not progressing. When I called to schedule the appointment with Dr Haley for my follow up, he refused to see me and told me to do just whatever the ER doctor told me to do.

Dr. Haley is a great doctor. He actually takes his time with patients, which I appreciate. He is knowledgeable and clearly intelligent. I come from Dublin just to see him. He was referred to me by a fellow patient. He is not the typical doctor that writes a script and sends you on your way. He really takes time to find out about your health problems and gives you a good way to resolve them. As an example, I have a cholesterol level of 170. However, my ldl is too high and my hdl is too low. Dr. Haley recommended that I try 10 minutes of brisk walking 3 times per day. Once in the morning, afternoon, and evening. I explained how busy I was but agreed that I could fit that in my day. When I went back for a check-up in four months, my hdl to ldl ration had improved. I liked that Dr. Haley found a custom solution for me instead of just writing a prescription and sending me on my way. Great doctor...I can't say enough good things about him.

Dr. Earl Haley is knowledge, caring, and attentive to our needs. My husband & I see him. We also send our son to him instead of a pediatrician. He wants what is best for his patients.

earl haley did the exact same thing to us. I will be going in personally to the Main LMH establishment and let the real doctors no that they have a fake. earl haley does not care about his patients he just wants to get back home to his basketball game

He listens very well and empathetic. He is a genuine and caring doctor.

When I went to see dr haley he told me there was nothing else he could do for me. He then told me "I don't perscribe such-and-such drug because its too addictive. If your looking for that you're not going to get it here". Then he referred me to a specialist who I wont see for 2 months with no help inbetween. He treated me like a drug addict when he had only seen me twice and I hadn't even asked for that drug... I just wanted help... and he was unwilling to do what was needed to help... I will be searching for a new doctor ... who is helpful and treats people like people.
