Great doctor and nurses
He did my total knee replacement.. Was a long recovery but doing great now.
My mother of 99 years fell and fractured her hip in July. As an NP who has worked in the field of gerontology most of my career I understand that so much can be done given her age, type of fracture and severity of osteoporosis. I was extremely disappointed with his lack of explanation and general compassion. We were not given a surgery time that was scheduled for the next day. If I hadn’t showed up early, my mother would have gone into surgery without so much as one family member in the building. In the holding area I had to ask about their plan (pinning vs. partial replacement). After surgery he told us that, “things went well.” We were not permitted to see the post-op films at first. When we finally did see them 1-1.5 inches of a pin was sticking out of the bone and into her soft tissue. She has suffered much and is now totally wheel chair bound. Perhaps under a different surgeon the outcome would be the same. None the less, honesty and compassion go a long way. Just disappointed.
ONLY REASON HE GOT 1 STAR IS BECAUSE YOU CAN'T DO A REVIEW WITHOUT GIVING 1 BUT ESSENTIALLY HE SHOULDN'T BE GETTING ANY!!! MARK D'ONOFRIO DID MY TOTAL KNEE REPLACEMENT...I WAS TOLD I COULD BE APPROXIMATELY 70-80% BETTER THAN PRIOR TO THE SURGERY. THAT IS NOT THE CASE. MY SURGERY WAS SEPTEMBER 2021...I HAVE MORE EXCRUCIATING PAIN NOW THAN WHAT I HAD BEFORE SURGERY! I AM NOT ABLE TO PUT ANY PRESSURE ON MY KNEE AT ALL! I CAN'T COMPLETELY BEND IT AND WALKING IT VERY DIFFICULT!! WHEN CONSULTING WITH HIM HIS ONLY SUGGESTION WAS TO OPEN IT BACK UP AND REMOVE SOME SCAR TISSUE THAT EVEN IN HIS WORDS COULD EVENTUALLY GROW BACK, SOUNDS TO ME LIKE HE JUST WANTED MORE INSURANCE MONEY! HE DID NOT PUT ME ON THE BEND AND STRETCH MACHINE AFTER SURGERY LIKE HE WAS SUPPOSED TO...THAT DID NOT HELP MY HEALING PROCESS. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND MARK D'ONOFRIO FOR ANYTHING NOT EVEN TO REMOVE A SPLINTER!! HE HAS PERMANENTLY MESSED ME UP! JUST A SUGGESTION... THINK TWICE BEFORE GOING TO HIM NO GOOD WILL COME OUT OF IT!!!
Dr. D’Onofrio has done 6 surgeries on me. All have been successful. While sometimes I would have like to see him a little more often for aftercare visits, he has a PA, Kevin, that is great too. And I would see him anytime
I received services from Dr. D’Onofrio for over 15 years. I can’t say enough about his caring and ensuring that you have the treatment that you need. His office staff also go above and beyond, are friendly, caring and professional. If you have issues with your knees, shoulder or hips, call Dr. D’Onofrio.
Dr. D'Onofrio and staff are top notch. I appreciate so much they way they care for my 92 year old father.
A beautiful vacation turned into a painful trip home. I fell and broke my wrist at a hotel in Key West. D'Onofrio's office got me in the very next day that I returned to Ohio as a new patient. The staff was very friendly from receptionist to xray and finally to surgery and after. I recommend this office and would use them again.
Highly recommend. Office staff, nurses, doctor, everyone was great… Dr D’Onofrio did my knee replacement. He truly cares, explains and doesn’t rush to do surgery unless needed. I’m having him do other knee in a few weeks.
Of the almost hour and a half I spent in the office to be seen for a knee problem, my actual meeting with Dr. D’onofrio took up maybe five minutes of it, and the only question I was asked was “where is the pain?” I was not asked any specifics about how long I had been experiencing problems, or any specific symptoms or previous tests/imaging done by my GP. His decision was to do what my GP had already done and give me anti-inflammatories—which did not help—and a knee brace, which I am now expected to pay almost $260 for because I didn’t have the foresight to buy it elsewhere (a medical supplies site has it listed for $60 with free shipping). I had already told him my GP had done the same thing with no change to the problem but he either didn’t hear me or didn’t have enough time to pretend that he cared. This is not a location or a doctor I would recommend to anyone seeking care for orthopedic injuries or ailments.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
