Rushed, didn't take into account what I was saying, talks down to you. Looking for different Dr.

After seeing this doctor for a couple of months about an issue I have with my heart, I was told that they couldn't find anything and asked if I was stressed or any huge changes in hormones. I then went to get a second opinion at UC and they found (from tests that doctor Szawaluck and his team ran) that I was having very dangerous tachycardia symptoms while exercising and could have gone into cardiac arrest if they persisted. They are now working to find the cause and solve the problem while actively listening to my concerns. I'm so glad that I changed doctors. Things could have ended very badly if I had not and had returned to my exercise routine like I was planning.

Dr. Szawaluk helped me get my blood pressure under control. He referred me for a test that uncovered a previously undiagnosed kidney problem. To sum it Dr. Szawaluk corrected my high blood pressure. He took me off some medication , and switched me to more effective medication. And his referral saved my right kidney. All great things !

I had seen several doctors trying to get my blood pressure under control. I found Dr. John J. Szawaluk on the internet. He helped me. He was business like, and professional. His staff was helpful , and friendly. Great location on Montgomery Road near I-275. I would send my family members to see him if they develop high blood pressure. Every day you wait to get your blood pressure under control , is one day too long.

I saw Dr. John J. Szawaluk for my hypertension. in one visit he was able to prescribe the correct medication. My blood pressure is now under control. Dr. Szawaluk was able to help me. I would recommend him to all my friends, and family.

My doctor retired and I scheduled an appointment with Dr. John J. Szawaluk. I listened to, and followed his, and Nurse Kelly's instructions. I have lost a large amount of weight on Nurse Kelly's diet plan. My blood pressure is the best it has ever been in many years. Dr. John J. Szawaluk has helped me more than any other doctor in controlling my blood pressure.

Very arrogant; does not listen well to patient; prescribed medication that according to my allergic medicines, I was alergic to the diuretic he prescribed and suffered due to his carlessness, headaches, increased pulse rate, loss of voice, and felt extremely bad. Also inaccurate regarding listing of medical record and medical conditions on both type and date of occurance and staff would not listen or correct it.

Dr. Szawaluk was very arrogant and did not listen to me as far as what my drug allergies were. He prescribed a diuretic that was sulfa based and I had bad migraines, hoarseness and loss of voice, as well as increased heart rate. He also listed on my record a hospital visit from 2015 that was concluded a migraine as a TIA that occurred and listed the date I visited him in 2018 instead of the correct date in 2015. His medical assistant refused to correct this.

After a visit to the emergency room, I was told to visit Szawaluk. Found him to be rude, abrasive, and just uncaring. Raises my blood pressure to be in the same room with him. Every test ordered and every med prescribed seem to be geared toward getting me to return for more visits. I have no confidence in him or his treatment. I will be asking for a referral for another cardiologist.

When szawaluk noticed that I was a veteran his attitude toward me changed immediately for the worse and I had just met the man. I started to walk out that first day but his RN talked me in to staying. He has a New York attitude and perhaps it’s time for him to go back to New York . Pity the poor folks that have to work with him and from what I gathered they don’t stay very long. Never in my life have I met a doctor like this who is completely opposite of every other doctor we have used at Christ hospital. His approach to my complaints concerning leg swelling, joint pain, and feet swelling was to put me on another med that I had already tried and could not tolerate . When I refused to take the new med and cut back on the other two documenting everything in blood pressure diaries and narratives to him his attitude was who are you to question me? We doc my pharmacist questioned you also. Good luck to those of you who have problems taking bp meds for their isn’t much help out there .
