List of MIchael Bernardon Md's Reviews
Dr Bernardon is the best medical professional I have seen. His staff and leadership are crazy terrible... i have been in an insulin crisis so many times that it is crazy. We finally have a formula that may work and i have 1 day left. I have asked for 7 days for a refill and keel getting delays. Called and mycharted 4 days now .about running out of insulin and was told scripts would be signed. NOTHING. CRICKETS.. . CALLLED SATURDAY and promised the on call would fill it by noon! NOTHING!!! THEY ARE TOO BUSY FOR PROFIT TO CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS
He’s an excellent doctor. He’s always been right about my health problems. You can talk to him and he listens and is truly concerned. I’ve been going to him for years and if you need an excellent doctor call him.
Dr. Bernardon has been my primary care physician for well over 12 years and I've been very satisfied with being his patient for so long. It's difficult to find a good doctor who listens, pays attention, and provides proper treatment, and Dr. Bernardon meets this criteria, and continues to do so. Not to mislead, there have been subtle "hiccups" or "bumps" which occurred over so many years -- this usually happens when too many hands are in the cookie jar, so to speak, and making sure issues don't get lost in translation can be slightly tasking especially those taking notes over the phone. All in all though, it's been a decent track record for the doctor and his office/medical team. I'm not expecting everything to go perfectly but he does his darnedest in meeting what is important: The Patient's Needs.
Dr Bernardon is very knowledgeable and caring toward his patients. Have had some difficulties with the phone system and the MyChart application, but overall it’s a good practice.
I cannot say enough about Dr. Bernardon and his staff!! I found him when we first moved to Ohio 6 years ago. It has been a pleasure to watch the Practice he is with grow. He is always willing to answer any questions I ask. They are the best! 6 years of great service and care. Angel, Mary, Sue and all the other ladies that I have been helped by are extremely patient and willing to go above and beyond in any way they can to help me. Definitely the best choice we could have made for our family with health care when we moved here.
Great doctor. Always professional, timely, and communicative at appointments.
Wonderful dr! I highly recommend him !
Wonderful doctor. Really listens and speaks to patients in ways they can understand. What I mean is most doctors tend to use terms that confuse patients. Also, an extremely nice guy and takes in to consideration what the patients feel might be a good direction of treatment, and works out a plan that works the best.
Great bedside manner and good listener.
Dr. Bernardon and his staff are inept at best. Communication is terrible and made worse by MyChart. Dr. Bernardon never answers his own emails, although he reportedly sees them, so whichever staff member who happens to respond to a given email (which is rarely the same person) does so with either incomplete answers or no answers at all. In regards to prescription refills, if you follow the instructions they give on their phone system, which tells a patient to call the pharmacy directly and which will result in the pharmacy contacting the doctor, you will never get your prescription filled. It becomes a "he said, she said" situation where the pharmacy says they never got a response, then Dr. Bernardon's staff says they sent it. So in my experience, after changing pharmacies and seeing this play out the same with both, the only way to get it done is to contact both the pharmacy and the doctor's office, then follow each day until it gets done. Pure incompetence! Dr. Bernardon has to sign prescriptions himself so he definitely sees these requests and gets no waiver on this issue. Using either the phone or MyChart, a complete answer of any sort requires three volleys of emails at minimum. Prior to my annual physical this year, I had so much back and forth poor communication from Dr. Bernardon's office (regarding prescriptions) that when I went in for the physical, Dr. Bernardon confronted me about the emails instead of doing my physical. So I apparently paid for an office visit just to be lectured about the emails I'd been sending. Dr. Bernardon never did complete my physical this year. At the end of the day, both Dr. Bernardon and his staff are to blame in my opinion. His staff should be professional and thorough and Dr. Bernardon is at the helm and should make sure things get done. Lastly, there is a condition that Dr. Bernardon was unable to treat. So I sought care with a specialist. Dr. Bernardon refused to release my medical records to the specialist. I contacted Dr. Bernardon's office and Carrie, his office manager informed me that I would need to sign a release form. I did so. Dr. Bernardon's office called to ask if this release was for a particular treatment or to switch doctors. I informed them that it was only for the treatment Dr. Bernardon was incapable of providing. So the info was sent to the specialist and everything should have been good. Not so much. I called the pharmacy to fill a prescription that was supposed to have 2 refills remaining. The pharmacy said I had no refills left. So here I go again, I call Dr. Bernardon's office and Carrie informs me that they can no longer fill prescriptions because I am no longer their patient. Yep, you guessed it. In spite of answering their question about the specialist, they somehow succeeded in "firing" me as a patient since I had requested that my records me sent to a specialist. At least that's the excuse they used. One exception to my complaints: Sue, a nurse in Dr. Bernardon's office, is GREAT! She always was able to get the answers the first time and deal honestly with me. Unfortunately, she was rarely the person who answered Dr. Bernardon's emails.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
