I had bacterial spinal meningitis March 2019. Dr. Cooley stayed late to do my emergency surgery. I feel very fortunate to have him as my surgeon. I wasn't familiar with meningitis previously but from what I've read, you don't always come back 100% from it. I fully recovered and celebrated my 72nd birthday this year. He absolutely saved my life. I had a malignant brain tumor and he resected it (took it out) and saved my life. I would have died without him. He’s an amazing surgeon as well as an amazing human being. I highly recommend him.

I can’t imagine “ANYONE” going to him! Thank God I went to Columbus for my 3rd neck fusion. Dr. Cooley when giving me an evaluation looked puzzled saying “yes I think I’ve seen this before”🤔 speaking of the hardware in my neck- he had no idea what was going on and his bedside manner was aweful - nope not me. Very good doctor! Took great care of me, my brain, and spine, and he inserted a shunt there, and I had staples from the middle of the back of my head to the middle of my back! He answers thoroughly any and all of my questions. Good bedside manner! I would recommend him to my loved ones! GOD bless Dr. Cooley and his gift, knowledge, and expertise! Very good doctor! I needed emergency surgery and I was near Lima. Fortunately Dr. Cooley was available. I was not familiar with him since I usually do business in Findlay. I am completely satisfied with his work.

Dr. Cooley punctured my esophagus during a surgery to remove the plate in my neck, which he put in. We opted to remove the plate because it was not needed and was coming loose. These plates have 2 screws on top and 2 on bottom, each of which have another screw on top of them to keep them set. They should have never come loose in the first place. Then I was in the hospital for 4 days with an infection. The night after the surgery I developed crepidus, second night my face swelled up like a balloon. The 4th day, i took a drink of water which came gushing out of the incision in my neck. We left that day for OSU. Had i stayed in Dr.Cooley's care, I would have died! Do not trust this doctor!!!!!! Dr. Cooley is a very compassionate, extremely skilled neurosurgeon with a wonderful bedside manner. He is very detail oriented. I would and I have recommend Dr. Cooley to anyone who needs a neurosurgeon. He’s performed surgical procedures on three of my immediate family members and we were very pleased with the outcome. Lima is blessed to have him as a physician.

Dr. Cooley done my aunt shunt surgery and help give her more time with us. He also done both Carpple tunnel surgery on my hands. My hands got infected and Dr. Cooley and his staff was very fast getting me back into the office. Dr. Cooley and his staff listen very well to my conditions and care for me very well. I have a very bad back I have crucial back pain all the time Dr. Cooley looked at my MRI and agreed. So Dr. Cooley will be diffently doing my surgery. I just have to accomplish a big goal

Horrible neurologist. Doesn't listen. Doesn't answer any questions. Hardly makes eye contact with you. Quickly skims through your images and information and seems helpless.

Dr. Cooley is a horrible doctor. I came into his office after a skull fracture and provided a list of symptoms I've been dealing with. He ignored the list of symptoms and quickly skimmed through my MRI images and ignoring any statements I made reguarding my health. He didn't anHe hoped he could send me out the door with a random drug prescription until I told him that wasn't okay.
