MIchael D. Mattin's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Mattin is the most compassionate ER Dr. I have ever met. He could tell I was in a lot of pain, scared of the unknown but he took his time treated me with respect and gave his 100% to try to figure out what was going on on with me. He ran several tests made calls and referred me to the best Neuro Team of Doctors. I could not of asked for a better experience...and I'm like 99% of you I hate going to the ER but I wouldn't mind it if there were more Doctors like Dr. Michael Mattin.

I have been under the care of Dr. Martz for several months now. Very thorough, compassionate, and caring and so is the staff. Very pleased and happy, and would highly recommend him if you are looking for a new Doctor.

Demonstrates poor listening skills. Did not appear interested in patient's opinions or concerns.

Dr. Martz is very knowledgeable in the field of medicine. He doesn't rely on the internet as one reviewer stated. He may use the internet like most doctors, but I've never seen him "typing on a handheld" anything. Missing a diagnosis is possible because all doctors are human. I've had nothing but good care from the office and I've had my share of bad experiences w/doctors. So, from experience this office & it's staff are professional & knowledgeable. If recommend them to anyone.

Dr.Martz was my family Dr. for about three years. I saw him often because of a wide variety of symptoms. He continued to tell me that it was basically nothing. He relies on the internet, yes you heard me right. He literally typed my symptoms into a handheld device and goes over the different things it states it could be. I've actually asked him if it was just webMD to which he of course says it's more complex than that. He missed my S.L.E.,which a blood test showed!Be careful, brains are better.

A visit to the ER with difficulty breathing was immediately diagnosed as a massive pulmonary embolism that led to cardiac failure and his decision to preform CPR for 2 hours. He saved my life.

Takes time to listen to questions and gives clear explanation of treatment and what I need to do to help with my own health.

I went to the ER of Toledo Hospital with pain behind my right shoulder blade and an elevated white blood cell count. He not only ignored my complaints, he yelled at me and my wife for basically taking up his valuable time. All he did was prescribe pain medication and sent me home. A week later my gall bladder burst causing me to go the ER again, only I went to a different hospital because I did not trust him. I almost lost my kidney function and went through weeks of pain and suffering and finally had surgery. I am considering suing this doctor as he should not be practicing. He is incompetent and rude. DO NOT LET HIM WORK ON YOU!! YOU MAY DIE!!!!!
