In June of 2020 I was referred to Dr. Rao for a retina problem in each of my eyes which required two surgeries. From my first appointment with Dr. Rao I felt very comfortable with both him and any one of his staff. I was very nervous and Dr. Rao made every step of the way comfortable and painless. Both he and his staff explained to me in detail the procedure I would have, what I could expect with recovery and follow up. He took time to explain to me any questions I had. I have been recommending Dr. Rao and Retina Associates to everyone and he will be the first one I call if I have any further problems. Can't thank the whole team enough from the front desk to Dr. Rao and his staff. And a thank you to my ophthalmologist for referring me to Dr. Rao. He truly saved my eyesight.

My experience was amazing! I was informed about my condition and the steps to correct the problem and recover after surgery. Dr. Rao was very professional and personable. My appointments were on time. The entire staff at Retina Associates was polite, professional, personable and answered all of my questions. Dr. Rao saw me within an hour when I called in with my eye symptoms. He diagnosed the cause of my blindness in one eye accurately and immediately. A week later he performed a vitrectomy. I went from being blind in one eye for a week to 20/20 vision (with glasses) right after the eye patch was removed. He explains things clearly, answers all questions, and is a pleasant person. I highly recommend him based on my several office visits and surgery experience.

There is no place I have ever been that comes near the service here ! Every single person takes their time I never feel rushed. Everyone wants to ensure that you feel comfortable and safe. I had to have some scary testing and they reassured me and made me feel comfortable at all times ! Love them !

Dr Rao was a rush of honesty and positivity during a very rough time. At just under 30 years old finding out I needed emergency surgery on my eye was scary enough. Dr Rao made me feel confident things would be on. 4 days after the surgery I can say with confidence he was correct.
