Cost to much, Bad advice about recovery and didn't even do what I went there for.

Dr. Polster is AMAZING! My entire family has seen her for many years and have been very pleased with her services!

When she was at Apex in Hudson, was misdiagnosed, no biopsy. Did not seem to care. Went to another dermo and had a biopsy, and recieved completely different diagnosis.

Had my first and last appointment with Dr Polster at the Hudson Apex Office. She was VERY rushed during my appointment, and was not listening to my questions/concerns. I completely understand masks are necessary during this time of COVID, but the area of concern on my face is covered by my mask. Dr Polster had me pull aside my mask (not remove it), barely looked at my face, and insisted I put my mask back in the original position. I left the appointment feeling unsettled that a proper exam did not take place, my questions were not answered, and all my concerns were not addressed. I did make a follow up appointment that I later cancelled, because I was concerned I would not be receiving the best treatment for my situation. I found another provider.

Before my appointment, I was asked if I could move my appointment from 3:15pm to 3:00pm because Dr. Polster had to leave at 3:30pm. I was available at 3pm, so I took that appointment. After I accepted the earlier appointment, I started to get nervous that my time with Dr. Polster would be rushed. When I arrived to my appointment, the staff was friendly and helpful. When Dr. Polster came in she was kind and friendly. However she rushed through the appointment. She looked me over in 5-10 minutes and was done. She gave me her diagnosis and a prescription, then left. I know I should have spoken up at the appointment, but I felt my concerns would have been brushed off. Therefore I kept quiet. After my appointment, I called the office and left a message.I hope to hear back from them tomorrow, so I can express my concerns. Each time I’ve called, I’ve gotten voicemail. I will keep reaching out if needed. Overall, I feel like I wasted my money especially after paying my copay and whatever the remaining bill will be. This could have been a one time occurrence. I don’t know Dr. Polster and will not pass judgment on her, or her expertise. I am upset with how the appointment was rushed and the money I wasted. It was the first time I had been to a dermatologist and I will not be going back to this location.

She didn’t really listen to what I had to say. I was trying to tell her this condition was going on for months and started a treatment that was helping by another physician in the practice and she would not continue it. She told me to get lotion and put it on and follow up as needed. I had to call my pcp in order to get treatment. Isn’t the specialist supposed to treat the condition better than your pcp?

Callled the office to make an appointment. I explained that I have two skin concerns. I was told I would have to make two separate appointments. I find this unexceptable. Treat the whole patient. This may be a policy of some sort but not one that builds confidence in the type of care you will receive. Very disappointing.

I have been Dr Polster’s patient for 10+ years, seeing her twice a year. A real savior. Keeps me out of serious trouble. Very thorough and most professional. Rick P.S. please move your office to Solon / Chagrin area. Lol.
