MIchael R Viau's Online Review Report Card

If I could leave 10 stars I would. Dr. Viau performed 2 surgeries on me in the last 3 years for different bone problems and I personally will never consider any other orthopedic doctor. I have never been a fan of surgery, but when it became necessary I choose the best. Kudos to the office staff for their professionalism and friendliness.

Please keep your love ones AWAY from This Dr. He has the worst manner I have ever experienced and performed a non essential surgery on my mom that has caused her sever pain and discomfort. She was sent to the hospital to have her leg assessed prior to having radiation on her leg. She did not want surgery and he went ahead and did it anyway. Now she is so much pain, she cannot even have treatment. Speaking with other local health providers they all told me to never let any family member near him

Horrible doctor !! Was in a car accident 4 months ago and was referred to Dr. Viau. He completely ignored everything I told him and he suggested therapy for my neck which wasn't the greatest issue and if that didn't work only then would he do an MRI I Informed the physical therapist (whom were great) of the issue that needed the most therapy and they focused on that. After the therapy sessions I was still in pain so i was waiting for a call from his assistant to schedule the MRI. The assistant called to finally confirm MRI but it was scheduled for my neck and NOT my back. Informed her that the order needed to be changed for my back. She then proceeds to tell me that basically there was nothing they could do unless i came in for another inital appointment.

Very bad bedside manor. Rude & we received much better care after switching to another Dr.

Very dismissive did not care that patient constantly falls or that patient is constantly in pain. Only wants to focus on one thing. Very argumentative. Only wants to suggest to therapy or cortisone shots. Waste of time. Actually deserves -1000 stars. Staff was no better

He fixed my broken wrist 2times and did a great job. Had trouble with 2nd break and he made it good as new

I broke my leg very badly and no one from this area would fix it but Dr. Viau. He saved me from having to go to Columbus it ended being 5 surgerys and alot of complications but Dr. Viau took great care of me and did a great job. My case was very difficult and Im grateful for him and his entire staff. I would let him do future surgerys on me should I need them.

It’s been on my mind , as I approach 60 years old, to connect with Dr Viau. I was just 27 when my L4/5 disc blew out. So bad, I was actually paralyzed! A young horse trainer, with a future! I was referred to Dr. Viau from one of my clients, Dr Ginsburg, the ER Dr. At Mansfield. That was 1986! So much fear. Pain. Suddenly, I was almost going to live in a wheelchair. I’ve made a career of horse training. I’m running my horse farm in NC still today! A big THANK YOU FOR SAVING MY BACK!!????
