List of Andrew Islam Md's Reviews
I kept telling him my shoulder hurt. I couldn't even get a call back from his NP or PA. I saw Dr. Hasan and it turned out my shoulder was infected.
My right shoulder was a mess. Torn labrum, torn biceps tendon, acromium process was pinching on some rotator cuffs. I had several doctors basically tell me there wasn't much I could do. Dr Islam presented a complex surgical plan that not only gave me my shoulder back, I was able to return to pitching live batting practice to the team I coach. He spends time with you, discusses options, answers questions. It would be great if ALL docs were this personable - he is a gem.
Dr. Islam is top notch. He never sugar coated anything, told me like it was, gave me the choice of options which he did a full reconstruction of my shoulder. Three years later, it is nice to not wake up with that shoulder pain I had for 20+ years.
Do not base a doctor on their personality. Dr Andrew Islam was nice, but I had a terrible experience with him as the surgeon who did surgery on my shoulder! He obviously could care less what the outcome of his surgery does to a person. I had surgery to repair a complete tear in my shoulder tendon and decompression for impingement. I came out of surgery with nerve damage, torn ligaments in my neck, nerve damage in my neck, nerve damage in my lip, a severed CA ligament, and I STILL have a complete tendon tear. So the surgery was a waste and caused me extreme pain and stress. I now have more problems than prior to surgery! He shrugged it off and said I needed another surgery and I would have to pay for it. He acted like he could care less and told me to see another surgeon. I made a SERIOUS mistake in choosing this surgeon. I am very angry and very upset about it.
Doctor Islam just looked at my shoulder from the entrance and knew what was wrong. Kroger’s wouldn’t admit their fault in my accident. This Dr. Islam fixed my shoulder I was impressed no pain, and is still working to this date. Surgery was in 2011, still pain free.
Dr. Andrew Islam is the best Orthopedic doctor in Cincinnati. I have been his patient for over 6 years. He has knowledge and compassion that makes your overall experience successful. His staff is amazing too which I feel is a reflection of him as well. I have recommended him to only have those thoughts echoed. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking a quick and precise recovery plan. -LM
Misdiagnosed my shoulder and told me I needed a replacement. Saw another surgeon who fixed it without a replacement. Spent more time with his PA Kevin than with the doctor himself
Doc took the time to explain everything I wanted to know or question about my shoulder situation. He was great and gave me all the time needed.
Spent over an hour waiting to see Dr. Islam. He was rushed and acted like I was putting him out for asking question. Wish he spent less time talking to his "google glasses" and more time talking to me. I wont be back
Dr. Islam is a great doctor. He's patient, considerate, and very kind.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
