List of Ammar Safar's Reviews
Dr Safar is unprofessional. He has so many red flags it’s ridiculous. First of all he wasn’t wearing a mask. Then he also doesn’t follow hospital procedure with the checkup. He also didn’t do anything when my grandpa was complain about lack of air. He brushed him off and said he was fine. After his major heart bypass surgery/valve repair, he acted like his surgeon wasn’t smart. The surgeon who worked on him is one of the best surgeons in the country. Safar also tried to tell him that he needs to stop taking his medication and don’t worry about the rehab after surgery. Those two things are the most important things in his recovery.
Did a heart cath on me, and inserted a stent. Seemed to go well. However, he is terrible at communication. He doesn't answer e-mails sent through the EPIC/MyChart system, even with heart measurement charts from the hospital attached.
Heart cath and follow up - very professional and caring. Took the time to explain things and made sure I was comfortable and well taken care of. A great personality, easy to understand, and full of energy. Just love him.
We've been to a ton of doctors, and quite frankly, if they're talented and attentive, I don't care about their personality. However, this guy has it all. He's easy to talk to, he explains things thoroughly, and he provides excellent care. The nurses who work with him in hospital procedures just love him, and that says a lot, too.
This guy and his team saved my life. He's super knowledgeable on current practices, and combines that knowledge with practical application of procedure where and when needed. Thorough and focused, the best. He's sometimes in a hurry, but will always slow down to discuss the smallest detail with you if you have questions. 6 stars in my book, all day long.
Dr Safar is a blessing. He takes the time to answer your questions and even brings up the x-ray results to show you what he is talking about along with drawing pictures to help explain. He is always cheerful. I have found that he doesn't spend much time on an appointment unless you have your specific questions ready to ask and then he very thoroughly answers those questions. He expects a positive attitude. He has been a life saver (literally) for us and we would not hesitate to recommend him.
Dr. Safar is rude, does not spend more than 2-3 minutes in office/patient. 4-5 months after a cardiac bypass he told me that my heart was just fine, was leaving the office, hadn't listened to my heart nor done any testing, told me not to shovel snow. My job requires lengthy walks and dragging equipment to clients, including in snow & ice. I tried to request a handicap plaque because of fall risk during snow. He listened to my heart told me he did not care if I fell, it wouldn't hurt my heart.
Dr. Safar treated members of the C. H. Hooker Family when he practiced in a small town in Eastern Ohio. He was Outstanding! He showed deep concern for all of his patients and could not have been more professional. He was a bright star at Coshocton Hospital when he was a young man, I hold him in the very highest regard! Prof. R. L. Hooker, Columbus, Ohio
Great doctor but his staff cannot get prescriptions through to Express Scripts; which ended up costing me a lot of money.
Great Doctor up on his game. Big time!! Easy to talk to. Gives a complete analysis of his procedures and results. Would highly recommend him to anyone w/heart problems.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
