Very friendly and caring staff

I was told I talked to the Anesthesiologist before the surgery. Is dr tidbit the anesthesiologist? Not according to the lady that didn’t introduce herself after the horrible hallucination I had when I woke up. They used ketamine without explaining the fairly high odds of a very uncomfortable hallucination. When I came out of surgery a couple nurses/staff talked about me like I wasn’t there. Rude. And last but not least, they told me over and over that my wife had been called to come and pick me up. I kept asking because they had the number wrong when I checked in. Surgery seems fine but the staff is lacking. I waited wondering why my wife wasn’t there for an hour after the 30 minute post operation wait. They basically lied to my face twice. I did meet the anesthesiologist after the surgery though because of my hallucination. Do not use ketamine, trust me. Google it. It was the most terrifying situation I’ve ever had in my life. I thought I was dying and I woke up screaming and crying. One star for the staff. If there was a separate place for surgery quality it would be 5 stars. It’s not that sore and the incision looks good. Make sure you ask questions if you decide to go here. And ask them with force and authority. They work for you, not the other way around. Or just flat out don’t go there. UPDATE: I went back because I knew I had pancreatitis and that’s where I went the first time, well over 15 years ago. I’ll keep it short and simple but honest. They did a good job getting my really bad inflamed pancreas under control. The nurses seemed pretty knowledgeable and I dig the diversity of people and personalities. We all know the lack of staff has hurt all functions. They did pretty good for what they were working with. Nurses would get called on their ear piece about 3 other things before she/he could get the 1st thing done with me. That takes talent. Just to not snap is talent. But it does cause a lack of communication because people can only process so much. Not their fault. I won’t nit pic every little thing. Staff did good this time around. Three stars. Next time. IF I go again it’ll be 5 or back to 1. Most likely. Good job none the less. There was some very caring nurses there. My first one could’ve used a little more empathy on my severe pain and not made me wait on a med that was ready to go for two hours after she said I’ll be right back. If this was about her it would be -20 stars. Fake. No empathy. Would forget you were even there. And then not say sorry or nothing. She’ll get hers one day.

Very upset with the neighbor I had while staying at sycamore, had to ask to be moved. The doctor I had didn't even come in to tell me my results from all the test I had done. Took two days of laying there. The nurse word me to the pharmacy and left. Not a very pleasant stay at all.

I am very grateful for the service I have received from the emergency room to the care of the surgery team and the aftercare and for trying to help me get insurance. Everyone has hospitality, understanding, and faith.

The place is great & the nurses were so nice & friendly & I can't say enough for the Dr.'s I was very well taken care of & also the ER staff was so nice & helpful

All the people and the attention I received was 5 star. Well done to all.

My dad is currently being hospitalized for a stroke you guys saved his life thank you all so much you guys rock everyone is so nice and the care you receive is amazing!

Doctor absolutely refused to listen to my family or me when we repeatedly told him he had the wrong person. He had not seen me. Which caused me to be in extreme pain for an extra 16 hours before I was transferred to Kettering Main campus where I received excellent care. I came into Sycamore around 8:30 Sunday morning. I received pain meds at midnight at Kettering main hospital. Understand we are human. Mistakes do happen but when family and the patient themselves say you have the wrong person. Maybe you ought to listen.
