My OB was not available during my labor/delivery. I got assigned this doctor. During my labor and delivery he obviously did not read my chart or my birth plan. He did not know critical information, such as my weight, when my water broke, etc. despite my husband and I’s consistent communication over multiple platforms. Luckily, I had a veteran nurse at the beginning of my labor that had to step in after he left my husband and I sobbing during a “check.” However, even they could not do much and an absolute nightmare began. He rarely explained why he was doing something, felt unnecessarily rough, and made me feel like my pain and my body were invalid. My baby is healthy and thriving, but I have so much guilt over the way I did not advocate for us that day. I just wish I had been treated like a human being. Even a kind word or a thoughtful explanation as to why he was doing something would have been helpful.

He was the doctor who did my c section when I had my twins, they relied on the epidural and once they started cutting, I could feel it, it was too late, he had to continue in a hurry, hack sawing me, my arms were shaking, I was shaking, the anesthesiologist had to give me a paralytic, I couldn’t move suddenly, counldnt even move my eyes in my head, I head my babies cry after they pulled them out but I didn’t see them. I had a postpartum hemmorage and lost a lot of blood, I think maybe because he was rushing. He used a vacuum to get my baby girl out which left a huge circle bruise on her forehead. I’m glad my twins are here and healthy but the birth was very traumatic.

I delivered both my daughters by Dr. Dahman and I cannot say enough about his professionalism and his great bedside manners! He is a great Doctor and I’m recommending him to everyone I know!!!

He is compassionate, thorough and kind. His nursing assistants and office staff are great too. I highly recommend him and his practice.

Finding Dr. Dahman’s office was the light at the end of a long tunnel for me. Coming back home to deliver my baby while my husband was deployed and not knowing where to go was scary, but to sum up everything in one whole short momentum is that choosing Dr. dahman and his staff at southwest general was nothing more than perfect! His bedside table manors are amazing. He is caring and thorough with his work as long with his staff. I will always choose southwest general with Dr. Dahman.

I have seen Dr Dahman since my son was born and he is now 23 years old. The last few times I went to see him he was short and not thorough. I finally had a mammogram done at 45 and it was abnormal. When I asked for the order, He said, "sure if you want one" I also had a biopsy done and was was supposed to follow up 3 months later and do my annual at one time and he had no idea and did not do a pap. I think his practice and him grew to big and it is sad. he was the best OB/GYN EVER. I sent a lot of people to him. I will be looking for someone new!
