List of Janice Rice's Reviews
Dr. Rice cared for my husband when she was working in Lima, OH. Not only was she super pleasant, she was very thorough and found an irregularity in his appendix that 2 prior providers had missed. We really appreciate the extra time and care that she provided for him.
Explained things well. Personable. Timely. One of the better ER docs that I have ever had.
I don't know why she only has 2.5 stars. I am an emergency medical professional who was treated by her at Southwest. She did everything expected of her appropriately. She was also friendly and engaging.
I was never even seen by Dr. Rice yet she put on my emergency room discharge paperwork that she saw me. Here I am months later with bills from Dr. Rice for her services while in the ER. Separate from the hospital I guess, according to the lady that called. I asked for a Doctor’s note for work and a nurse signed it.... proving Dr. Rice wasn’t around. Luckily my work accepted the note (signed by a nurse). All in all, this is some sort of fraud from her office. If she came in and saw me or introduced herself I would have zero problem paying for her “services.” Sickening...
I've had dr Janice several times at southwest general she's a great doctor always treats well when it comes to medical you can't always have it ur way give her a break and let do her job 6 star's girl
Horrible - Dishonest, Inept
Dr. Rice is a GREAT doctor! I was her patient in the Emergency Room, but WISH she could take me on as a regular patient.
I was a patient of Dr. Rice's in the ER at Southwest General. She did such a good job that I asked if she was in a practice where she could take on patients. I really would have liked to have had her for my primary doctor. She is considerate, thoughtful, takes time to listen, gives realistic expectations regarding diagnosis, and works quickly to get the results you need.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
