I wish I knew what I do now. If you are thinking about going to this doctor I would keep looking for someone else. The nurse at the office is very kind but that is no reason to stick with Medpara. My cancer was caught early and under his care for a year he ignored my pain and told me it was not the cancer. He didn't do tests to make sure. He just said it wasn't the cancer. Months went by and the pain got worse. He finally started doing more tests but not with urgency. Three more months went by before it was confirmed that it was the cancer. My cancer is an aggressive cancer and the only way to treat it was to catch it early. I was lucky and it was caught early by another doctor. My mistake was going to Mendpara. If you don't need a doctor to do anything other than follow a chart and give treatment that the book says to give to a person with a particular cancer you might luck out. This might be what some patients need so their experience will be fine. In my case he ignored me and the notes from the radiologist on my CT scan saying further testing should be considered. Once many months went by before confirming it was the cancer (after him repeating it was not the cancer without doing any test) he then told me I was going to die and there was nothing anyone could do. He was rude, no compassion....that was it. My worst mistake was trusting this doctor and that is why I want to warn anyone thinking about going to him. He doesn't appear to know how to read imagining, either. Go to an oncologist that knows how to read the imaging. I have since gone to other oncologists and they were all able to read and know it was cancer.

I give him ZERO stars! If your cancer is "easy" and you need a doctor to read a chart and tell you what chemo/treatment you need he might be fine. If you need someone to be a doctor I would get another oncologist. I have an aggressive cancer that luckily was caught early by another doctor. The radiologist wrote on one of my CT's that might want more testing due to something they saw on the CT but Menpara ignored that, too. Many months went by and I got more pain in other areas. Mendpara still said it was not the cancer but slowly ordered more testing. More months went by when the tests showed it was the cancer. Now he says its too late and I am dying. Nothing anyone can do. Please go somewhere else. I wish I knew what I did now. I trusted him and now it is too late. He knew I had an aggressive cancer and he didn't look out for me.

I mistakenly trusted Mendpara. I wish I could turn back time and go to someone else. He ignored the signs that something was seriously wrong. He kept telling me that it was not the cancer. He didn't do any tests to say this. It was just off the top of his head. It turned out that he was wrong. Almost a year of him not doing tests even when I was getting more pain. Eventually he did some tests but ...

I have been going to Dr. Mendpara for 6 years now. He is so kind and explains everything. He has a excellent bedside manor and his knowledge of medicine is excellent. Would defiantly recommend this Dr.

Dr Mendpara, is a very caring, courteous, Doctor. He listens to you, and explains medical terms to a level the normal person without a medical degree can understand...

From the time I called to make an appointment til I left the office it was great. The doctor is wonderful. Never felt rushed, very thorough, answered all my questions, and told me what I needed to know. The staff is friendly, organized, and it runs smooth.

Dr. Mendpara's thorughness and accuracy in diagnosing and treating my cancer is why I am currently healthy and cancer -free. He also works effectively with other physicians to ensure that everyone is well informed on my case and that additional follow up is provided. He is kind and takes the time to explain the medical issues to me.
