I have had a shoulder and hip replaced as well as some pre treatment for pain. Extraordinary. Outpatient for both with quick recovery and minimal pain. Impressed with whole Aultman Orrville team. Nice guy. Responsive. Skilled. My 4th and 5th total joints.

I had a total replacement of my right hip in April 2019. Years of playing basketball and doing high impact aerobics had be in a great deal of pain. Dr. Widmer was recommended to me by the CEO of Aultman Orrville Hospital and she was spot on in the recommendation. I had same day surgery and was essentially pain free upon waking up. Dr. Widmer was all business- he told me what would happen and how I would feel. I was able to get out of rehab in 4 weeks instead of the typical 6. A year later I haven’t felt better in 20 years. My experience with Dr. Widmer and the team at Wooster Orthopedic was amazing and I cannot thank them enough for allowing me to resume a pain free athletic lifestyle.

From the greeting @ the door...to the introductions/information pre-op, everything was professionally presented. My questions were answered completely calming any fears. The surgical suite was spotless, every procedure explained as was the recovery room. Dr. Widmer led a well organized surgical team and my recovery has been less difficult than I expected. Thank you, thank you as my pain is already less than pre-op.

In 2016, Dr. Widmer worked on my then 14 year old son's broken wrist which has made a complete recovery. There was an issue with the way it was setting and Dr. Widmer recognized this and immediately fixed it. The repair was done so well that my son went on to play basketball, football throughout high school with no issues. Dr. Widmer came across as a very kind, intelligent man who is very good at his profession. He took time to kindly answer any questions and make us feel at ease. I recommend him very highly.

I had bilateral hip replacement surgery performed by Dr Widmer, he is an excellent and caring surgeon. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an orthopedic surgeon. My surgery and recovery was a very positive experience, in just six weeks post I am free from pain, walking without aid and living life again.

Dr Widmer was an excellent Doctor n I was very pleased with my outcome with him doing 2 total knee replacements on me. He really cares about your therapy n has made my life with my legs a total 360 degrees. I'm very happy he was the one who did my surgeries. I could not thank him enough for how this has changed my life to better n pain free now. I give him 5 stars definitely
