Very knowledgeable and up to date on latest treatments, drugs, and procedures. Great bedside manners and personality. He takes the time to listen and explain in clear terms. Very pleasant, professional, and practical, and has been very helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Pantelas and wouldn't think of going to another doctor.

I saw Dr. Pantalas, for 3 visits. The first "new patient visit" was with the NP, she wanted to get a urine to do a "drug test". She told me they do on all new patients!!!!! I am 75 yr old and never use drugs. That was their first mistake. Dr. Pantelas-- plan to wait over an hour in the waiting room. He spent 2 hours talking to me, every time I tried to say something, he interrupted me! So he said I had to come back for the Physical. So another hour and half waiting , then he was too touchy, I agree with the other ladies on here. He also took all my medication bottles, poured out the pills and counted them! He did not believe me when I told him how many I had left! I was so upset with the disrespect and the waiting, I never went back. I think he has been around too long and needs a refresher. He was negative with everything the Akron Doctors had told me.

I'll NEVER refer to him as a Doctor, Nor will I call him one to his face. I've been an eatablished patient of another Doctor at Family Medicine for decades. I'm used to my own Physicians, yet I understand if they're unavailable. Thru the years I've had to see the other Practitioners here if my Doctor isn't available. I choose groups of Practioners for this reason. You're entrusting your Health to these individuals. I thought the whole concept of a group rotating on call was so IF ANY patient not requiring a trip to the E.R. during off hours needing questions answered or having a problem with a perscription can recieve this service. Unfortunately, Gust Pantelas does not feel or see it this way! People speak of the Hippocratic Oath? He must have been out to lunch when they were teaching it.! He rarely returns pages from the answering service. IF he does, he's callused, insensitive to your needs. He says you interrupt his 'Precious, Personal Time Off'. He needs to remember his 'Precious, Personal Time Off'...Is NOT 'Personal Time Off.!' He's Supposed to be 'ON CALL' for 'ALL PATIENTS' needs of the group he belongs to. This means 'ALL PATIENTS' of Family Medicine! NOT just those he chooses to respond to! It's my opinion, this kind of behavior from an individual who's in the Medical Field having taken the Hippocratic Oath, but apparently not taken it to HEART, is unacceptable! Thank God, the rest of his Colleagues don't practice in the manner he does; that of Complete Inconsideration and Rudeness! Maybe it's time for Gust to take down his 'Shingle.'

Horrible when it comes to bills. Spoke with 3 times about a bill they graciously accepted payment for but new billing company says I didn't. Asked to resolve and was given 1 888 number. Totally unprofessional.

Dr. Pantelas is one of the most intelligent doctors I have ever seen as well as informed. I have never been to a doc whos appointments and day goes completely as scheduled, with this being said he spends enough time with each patient to get them taken care of and if that means an appointment takes a bit extra time....... wouldn't you want that if you were back there? Aside from this he started the practice with some one of the other practicing physicians there and has built it from essentially nothing. Some of these reviews are very disappointing to read and are clearly written by folks who don't understand how a doctor works. If your healthcare isn't accepted its probably for a reason. If you leave this country and try to use the american dollar in places where it is worth less they will laugh.. why would a doctor accept the insurance that you HAVE TO use because of failures in YOUR life that will make his job harder than it is? Did any of you bad reviewing patients attend college at an accelerated pace , finishing 8 years in 6, then continue to a residency and forfeit that much of YOUR life to help others? No... if your only complaints are a slight wait and non acceptance of certain healthcares then you are in for a rude awakening, that is pretty standard anywhere, and i really hope you don't ever have to see a specialist. Long story short, best primary care physician i have ever met with and caring person, father, son and Doctor.

Myself and other female friends who go to Dr. Pantelas are uncomfortable with him thinking it is necessary to unhook your bra to listen to your lungs and heart. No other dr. does that. I have had him take my shoes off to check my feet and throw my shoes across the room landing under a chair. He is constantly wanting to prescribe medication and I prefer the natural route without the horrible side effects of prescription drugs. If you go to him, stand up for your rights!

Dr Howard metzger and the rest of the staff at Family Medicine service to me and my family for the last 3 years has been above excellent. They are truly sincere in caring for their patients. Typically runs an hour behind schedule. Last appointment in October of 2016 I waited in the lobby for one hour and fifty minutes. I was not provided with a phone call or text that they were behind. When I asked the front desk staff why I didnt receive any notification they were running behind, they told me it's up told told he patient to call, not them.
