I took my daughter to see Dr Petrakos at Refresh Dental in Austintown on 3/ 13/ 2023. Her name is Ashley Kannal. They said I never confirmed my appt because they never got the message. Frank I would like for you to call Ashley's mother so we can resolve this problem. If they let you see this review. Alot of secrets being kept. So they cancelled my appt and never let me know.

Dr. Petrakos is a pleasant , kind Doctor. With a great bedside manner. So, it is such a shame dealing with (non medical) office girls. As it causes reviews like these. I call for an emergency and am told that I have no showed for appointments so therefore I am on a day by day basis- meaning I can’t schedule an appointment for the future so I have to call each morning and see if there are still openings for that day. I I’m planning on finding another dentist But because he is already starting to work on the Tuesday question, another dentist will only see me for something he’s gonna work on not to finish some thing from another dentist With this kind of front desk staff , a doctor loses patients, those patients tell others about their bad experience, and many times the physician Isn’t even aware. So, i truly hope for the doctors sake, , Or someone who’s actually looking out for the Good of the business actually reads these. Don’t try and discuss it with the desk girls because they’re condescending as well . I guess I’ll just call the Better Business Bureau or my insurance and make them aware I wouldn’t of marked any stars but it appears I had to to be able to post.

Everytime I try to get ahold of this office to schedule an emergency appointment, they never pick up and if I leave a voice-mail they never want to call back. Just terrible all together

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Petrakos for more than 2 years now and we love him. I just pulled up his information to find an address for an upcoming appointment and was shocked to see others giving him bad reviews. He has done excellent work for us and is very professional as well. His staff is also the best.

Spent 15 minutes on the phone trying to make an appointment and had to call back to verify insurance information before an appointment could be set. Then after we had the appointment (I thought I scheduled a cleaning, turned out it was just an exam which took about 5 minutes- waste of a trip) they told me they couldn't get my insurance information and made me pay out of pocket $200! It's like I was scammed. I will never go back to this place!
